- Yeah, I know… a quick brake pad swap would solve my problems. But guess what I don’t have… brake pads! So, follow me as I attempt to find a reasonable solution to calming down the insanity that is this brake dust. I still love the car, but seriously… this is madness. 😭

Good Vid….. I feel all these Modern cars with Upgraded Brakes create crazy amounts of dust….. Drove my car from the dealership and couldn’t believe it …. So I washed them off and Ceramic coated them made a big improvement…. But yeah that gel is the truth

I feel the same about the dust and my grc is onyx black so its a new way of life for me learning to live with some dust because otherwise the ocd disorder becomes debilitating. Maybe my second set of wheels will be bright gold so when they get dusty can pass for bronze lol
I’ve been taking therapy because I’m losing it 😂 But absolutely I’m making sure to change pads at some point and get a wheel design that’s easy to clean.
Dude! it's true. The Brake Dust is Insane. I traded my 2014 BMW 335i M-Sport in on the Corolla, and I thought the M-Sport Brakes produced a ridiculous amount of brake dust. But the GR Corolla is WAY worse. I'll keep the stock pads until they wear out, then I'm putting in something less dusty. Maybe some EBC Red Stuff pads.
It’s almost laughable how bad this is. As SOON as these pads are done I’m right there with you with changing them out.
That’s if I can stand it until then 😭😂
@@CarQuicks I've found that visiting a DIY spray wash every few days and just focusing on the wheels lets you get them clean for about $4 and 5 minutes of effort. Gets the calipers clean, too.

I shot a quick short and think I lost the footage, but let me give you a written update...
It didn't work, not even a little bit. The pads on the GR Corolla are outrageously dusty, that really the only option I have is to clean my wheel like 3 times a week. Its really that bad.
The true solution is a pad swap, and once the OEM pads go out, I am switching to something that is much less dust prone and still offers the drivability I want.
I haven't see everything available for that switch, but there are a growing number of owners also seeing this issue and actively researching our next option. Alongside that, I know my wheels I intend to buy will be a easy to clean design and ceramic coated to assist.
