The greens threw their toys out the pram and showed that their support for a pro independence parliament comes secondary to getting their own way all the time on other highly divisive policies. They had to go, the tail cannot wag the dog.

@@jacqueline4905 Scotland cannot afford Independence right now. Nothing has been done in the past 17 years to really prepare for it, except promise a land of milk & honey where everything is free conning people who cannot understand the harsh realities that Independence would mean if it happened tomorrow. How many of the following do you think are TRUE ? -
Scotland now has a £ 20 + BILLION budget deficit which has to be funded going forward.
The rest of the UK (RUK) account for 60% of Scotland's sales revenues.
There has been no real improvement in both internal and export infrastructures.
Scotland's health, education, and local services are in decline
Ridiculous promises of 100,000 children taken out of poverty, FREE bikes, laptops and money for nothing along
Most people assume Scotland will keep the GBP until something else.
There has been no costing of such as borders with the RUK, export tariffs, fisheries protection vessels - The list is actually endless because NOTHING has been done.
In fact they all are, and if we went tomorrow and used the GBP. Westminster would still have fiscal control.
If we didn't use the GBP - inflation would soar, house and land prices would crash, companies and the best talent would emigrate.
There will always be those who cannot accept it, and if you are one you are deceiving yourself, but reality is a cruel mistress as Useless has just found out.

He's totally right about Swinney, that dullard is not going to bring about the necessary change. Swinney was a failure, and that's symptomatic of the whole SNP. When you have a failure as Leader, they'll do everything to make themselves look good, which means more failure below.
The SNP have to get serious and get a real Leader with actual vision for Scotland and for us Scots. It's not difficult to understand what needs to be done, and they can't blame Westminster. They have to use the limitation and show what can be done within such, and then say "We could do so much more with Independence".
The SNP are not taking the threat of Labour seriously, and that will be their undoing. They have to get into action and begin addressing the real problems of poverty, the NHS, of education, of the very basics such as our roads, such as high unemployment, etc.

Sadly too many people in Scotland still believe the twisted story she promoted at every opportunity. Swinney is just Sturgeon under a different name as he supported everything she promoted or should I say, did everything the greens wanted. There's a lot of un-SNP-ing to do, and it is going to take a wee bit longer to do the real nation-building we need to do before 'soft nos', like me, will have the confidence to say yes. We've been fed far too much BS already. We don't need yet more hype. Do something serious, like improve education so businesses will come here for our great human capital. Scotland doesn’t want to leave the uk. It never will. Very sensible also. Nationalists are not the majority. We have seen 17 yeas of a nationalist government and what it offers.

Why do you think we'd dissolve anything? We'd repeal the Act of Union, whose terms England broke centuries ago.

Only 1% of Scotland speaks in this case, which is about where Alba share of vote is,being led by a dirty old man and his sidekick crooked solicitor probably why.
I never been so enthusiastic about Scotlands future for years now that independence is dead and buried.
