They are more capable than you think. Plus I’d rather sink something that isn’t 15k like those renegades. No $100 belts to get wet and change. Just get a good running one and drive it. When these can ams are as old as the Honda they will be soda cans and the Honda will still be running

Really though. The Honda 3 wheeler! Just can’t beat it. Always runs. Always get into gear. No machine on the planet as far as atv’s go. Can beat the Honda 185s. Or the Big Red.
I used to have a 1983 185s. Can never kill it. I got an 84 225 DX now need some work but still runs

Just starting a mud trike project using this as inspiration, got an old 200es in the forest than ran about 4 years ago, gonna absolutely send it with 28x12 zillas and a 25x12 swamper on the front

I used to trail ride an 82 Honda Big Red with Wooly Boggers and that S.O.B. could really hold its own in the mud.
Have a big red like that and about 7 other trikes. Love em. Let my 185 Honda sit a year just put gas in it and taking it out this weekend to run some thick mud in the everglades.
I had an 85 big red 250. It was awesome, and I regret selling it. That bike was floating on mud. If you got stuck, just get off the 3 wheeler, press the gas, and that was it. Now I need a winch.😂

@@Dansereau72 Regardless of how long you've had it and how familiar you are with it, you put on a clinic and for that you have earned my respect.
The factory snorkeling on a ATC 250es is 3/4 of the way up the gas tank. When the water is REALLY deep. I commit to the water-wheelie, because stopping is usually swamping.

The 3-wheeler was quite impressive!! Veddy needs a bigger one. Hahaha. Berv’s machine was ON POINT!! Skimming and powering through like A CHAMP!! That crazy wrapped Polaris looks pretty good. Definitely stands out. The Outty on the tall, skinny tires sounded pretty wicked!! (It was the first one in the field you showed in the beginning). Thanks for another superb video worth watching!! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds for you guys for our viewing pleasure.

if the 3 wheeler with the o.g. tire that almoest touch the wheel wells. will make it any where and float across rivers. only reason I know that mine is setup that way to keep up with those 600cc+ quads !!! I float they sink !!!where that blue one got stuck. mine 3 wheeler will chug threw it all !!! I own the 250es high and low with reverse !!! and mine shoots flames out the back end !!!

I have a 800 commander can do anything the 1000 can do that's why I didn't go bigger!!!the stuff that my commander has went thru is incredibly awesome....tires and clearance are what matter power of the 800 plenty of power....in fact that 800 yellow Can=am probably same motor I have in my 2013 commander....

I do miss having a ATV especially a built one. I was scrolling along on here and your video popped up and I was amazed how far your channel came along. Im glad it did! if i got the catvos 6 inch lift and changed the axles on my outlander would it still be reliable or did you have other issues on your old blue renny
Lifts always reduce reliability. But big blue didn't have too many issues at all. I would run another big lift sometime again
Mr. Ostacruiser what is a custom fuel map and how does it help the bike? If you don't mind me asking thanks and i have a gen 1. So its a little hard to find certain things for the gen 1s in the lower 48
Gen 1’s can’t take a custom fuel map as the ecu is too old to accept one, best bet is to find a fuel tuner box like the big gun or equivalent. I have a gen 1 850 sportsman and it’s hard to find much for it, I wanna get myself an empire slip on but running an evo u stock fuel with a k&n filter, runs rich surprisingly also has a sport EPI clutch kit and am running 28” mega mayhems, does well but it wouldn’t perform in this stuff which I’m just on the other side of the border
