  • Alexander Medved is considered one of the greatest if not the greatest Freestyle Wrestlers of all time.
He was the first wrestler in history to win 3 consecutive Olympic Gold medals as was a 7 time Freestyle Wrestling World Champion. Medved represented the U.S.S.R. and is a legend in Soviet wrestling history.
Medved was an extremely technical wrestler who possessed immense strength and absolute fearlessness. The name "Medved" means Bear in Russian, a truly fitting name for the wrestling legend.
Here is an Alexander Medved tribute video that will hopefully show future generations of wrestlers and grapplers who the great Alexander Medved was.
We invite you to subscribe to our Grapplezilla CZcams channel for more great Wrestling and Grappling content updated regularly!

That guy who he was facing in the beginning was Ivanitsky, a 5 time world/olympic gold medalists who never gave up point to a non soviet opponent.

Do make a video on Alexander Medveds toughest opponent in wrestling,Great Wrestler from India "Maruti Mane".

He certainly was a very tough opponent for Medved, I agree. Maruti Mane lasted 11 minutes against Medved, a true feat in itself!

@@Grapplezilla You can get it on one regional CZcams channel in India.I am recommending the channel name "Kusti Mallavidya"
and other channel is "Urdu pages" but you will get the information in Hindi language,if you can with help of a person translate it into English,it will be a great work.
Because "Maruti Mane" is still considered a wrestling legend in India.
Where, then PM of India Rajiv Gandhi just by seeing his Physique offered him the post of MP (Member of Parliament) in India.
Maruti Mane weight was 145 kg.
And his workout included 5000 Hindu pushups, 5000 Baithaks (Hindu squats), rope climbing,Run.
He used to exercise for 13-14 hours a day, many people won't still believe it.
I am also recommending a video on CZcams (Last man standing - Indian wrestling) and you should visit "Kolhapur" (India's wrestling capital) since ages.
