- Camper Vans is now available to purchase here in the Philippines. It start with a basic model and you can order add ons for exterior and interior features for your convenience. This is a long time dream for most Filipinos who wanted to own a motor home with out importing from abroad.
Camper Vans that is designed and made of materials from Japan but assembled here in the Philippines .
Finally, this year it is now open to the Philippine Automobile Market.

Way cheaper than those imported from the US (Winnebago etch)
But still not the most cost effective.
The better option would be to buy slightly used light trucks or busses like the toyota coaster, then have it customized by a local van conversions company. You can have a reliable camper for less than 1.5M

Basura nga hindi iniintindi ng gobyerno kung saan dapat itapon rv spot pa, malabo yan. Pag dumami ang rv sa Pinas ng walang rv spot kung saan saan kayo makakakita ng echas at papanghe ang kalsada. Sa Amerika ang mga gas stations meron dumping stations magbabayad lang ng konti,
Mga private resort dapat mag initiate ng rv spot. Im willing to pay per day/night for safety. Mahirap kasi kng wlang security andami NPA.

Ph is an archipelago and to travel across the country you need to travel by sea. that is why campervan is not popular in PH. but maybe in the future. if we can connect earch island and develop campsites then I think this will be a hit. I say maybe in the year 2080 the Philippines can take advantage of RV 😅.

Its too hot in the Philippines for a camper van , you need that ac running all the time which is almost impossible.
You could make a bigger one, for less money, using the Bongo III as a base...

Ang daming mga bundok dito pero walang RV spots, tapos may campsite pero di kaya i-accomodate mga RVs, pati beaches.

Actually we have several camping sites in the Philippines. For example in Cebu, you can try Punta Anchora Beach Villas & Campgrounds, located in Badian. You may also search other sites online.

in village there is place everywhere , even on the gouvernement office parkings usually plenty of empty space
Its good to this these available now but the country needs places for these RV’s to go. The infrastructure in the Philippines is simply not set up to be RV friendly. For example in Australia the government has set up RV parks where you can stay for free or a small fee and connect your RV to power, water and even empty your toilet waste. This not the case in the Philippines most beautiful beachside lots or scenic places are privately owned so where will you take your RV camping?
Anywhere you can safely park like a truck and be responsible for your mess

Sobrang mahal ...& to think that the manufacturer is located in an export zone with tax incentives for sure. I hope market forces will moderate their greed unless they will ensure that the government will make it difficult (via heavy tax) for imported RVs, which are far better & cheaper, to come in.

From Thailand, maybe. But from the US, no. Any vehicle imported from the US will be taxed approximately two times the value of the vehicle. And considering a class C camper is somewhere from 80k upwards, this would look like a bargain.
The better option would be to buy a used Toyota coaster and have it customized. There are numerous companies doing conversions in the Philippines. P500k for the used coaster and roughly 600k for the modifications and you have a motorhome for less than 1.5M
