Yesterday I discovered WID. Since then I've been almost non-stop listening for their songs. Can't believe WID aren't more known. That's some great and epic gothic metal. A deep and dark sound finely blended with silent ballad-like passages. With fitting guitar solos thrown in and an amazing female lead voice topping it all. Just perfect. I found many songs that I definitely like - but A Way to the Stars is an absolute killer. Instant top 10 in my personal gothic/symphonic metal song list. Keep it going!
I feel the same way. I also discovered WID and Nicoletta Rosellini recently. Now I listen to them constantly. And I wonder why they aren't better known.

As a great a debut their album “In the Shadows of Things” was, "Welcome to the New World" elevates this band even higher. This song, "A Way to the Stars" closes out the album and I won't spoil it for anyone who has not yet heard the album so I'll just say what a way to finish off an album that, to me, is just one amazing song (both musically and lyrically) after the other......

Another gem from my recommended by CZcams list. Damn, how did I not know of this insanely gorgeous woman who sings with the range of the fallen angels. There is a deep sadness in her voice, but there is defiance as well. Damn, it's like Ukraine right now. So much suffering, loss, anger and rage but a willingness to sacrifice all in her defence. I love this band.
