I'm already a D license holder, So I had a day with the instructor so I could learn the arriva way of doing first use checks and for a instructor to access my driving before I was sent to my garage, ash grove.
Cool - similar to me, I had a driving assessment in one of these when I applied to join Arriva, having already had 28 years of bus driving under my belt. Can't even remember what these were like to drive, but I'm sure an hour was more than enough.
A hour was long enough lol, It was a hot day and there was no air con and fan didn't work! So I was glad to get back to Enfield, then we had the test where they showed you how to they like the first use checks done and you had to show the instructor before he signed you off then I was sent back to wood green, Do the ticket machine training then off to Ash Grove..
Watched these old girls doing their stuff on 'Double Decker Driving School' recently on CZcams - long since scrapped I imagine now.

I have seen all of the DLAs except 33/37 any news on where they are?
I was glad I only had to drive these for one day at Enfield, I wouldn't have liked to have driven them everyday for training!

They sent me to Croydon to do all of that, and I live Enfield! Two hour journey each way.
