- What if GTA Vice City Stories got better treatment from R* and got released for PC in 2020?
This video is my concept how VCS would be like today.
A lot of the mods shown here (mostly map mods) were made specifically for this video and are not available to download as they are not suitable for gameplay. You can still download some of the mods below. Please note, there's no 3D era story missions mod for GTA V, all "cutscenes" and gameplay parts were done manually by me with tools like Menyoo, Simple Native Trainer and Scene Director.

Vic is probably the most human and most realistic protagonist of the series. Him and Niko.
Don't forget CJ, he regrets his mistakes and fix them at the end thanks to his brother, sister and sister's boyfriend
I’m so happy you said that. VCS is so perfect. It is grounded and realistic. Favorite Soundtrack in any game. Story, missions, gameplay all feel well integrated. It is the only GTA game that I felt would exist in real life and that is why it’s my favorite in the series!
Bad Logic You serious? CJ was horribly written. North focused on the world and gameplay over anything else. Plus you could do nearly every mission in your underwear and jump out planes. The realistic world Leeds build in this game is genuine and 100% gratifying.

@@Tresicre_T It's hardly realistic how there'd be military choppers shooting at civilians on a bridge or the ending where Martinez acts like a fool. But the game is very good still.
Vic is the only one of all the GTA protagonists who wasn't already a criminal or had a criminal record before the beginning of his story. After Martinez set him up he didn't have any other choice but enter to the criminal world to help his sick brother by making money to pay his pills. He was an innocent soul that got dragged to a life full of crime by bad people, that makes him the most innocent and one of the most tragic protagonists of the franchise along with Niko and Johnny. *R.I.P. Imo this gta has a nicely done storyline
If GTA SA had the wildest and most crazy story, VCS probably had the most realistic storyline to it, maybe second only to IV.
You could really tell Vic didn’t want to get involved in all this mess but was dragged into it. However, unlike other protagonists, his consequences caught up to him and he died as a result of his reprehensible actions, no matter how unwilling he was.

I liked this version of Vice City. It still had that paradise feel to it but with a dark twist
Dank Dank I just love the color pallets in this game and the sunshine really made you feel like you were in Vice city’s colorful world but you know there’s a dark side that many don’t dare to associate with.
The Vic transition from 1984 to 1986 is the best part of this video. It's real sad how Vic has the worst ending amongst all the protagonists

actually in the story, he didn't become depressed but rather obsessive due to drug abuse. after he paid all their debts and his brother's medical fees, he turned himself into an oasis of riches. you can see him being high and it was actually proven by one of the rockstar employees of his post mission state. Diaz saw him as a threat to his empire so he had to eliminate him
If...if these cutscenes could be released alongside the mission script as a playable fan-made GTA VCS remaster then 2020 will be a year to remember (for good reasons this time haha).

Love how you put Vic hitting rock bottom in drugs and alcohol due to Louise's death at the end, basically giving us a good theory as to why he looks the way he does in the beginning of Vice City. That was a great addition.
That ending part is sadly the best explanation why Vic succumbed back into the drug dealing scene. The part where he struggled on the couch and eventually changed to his Vice City appearance really hit me.

I Love how he made the cutscenes after Louise's Death after the final mission(21:27-23:30) because now we know why Vic did return in The Drug World he was so sad after her girlfriend died(Louise) and couldn't forget so he started drinking,doing drugs... and with a brother like Lance it was obvious he was gonna comeback in the Drug scene.Louise's Death really changed him and unfortunately he died because of it.I Hope one day Rockstar will do a cutscene like this (if they release a new GTA VC) just to show to everyone why Vic did return into the Drug Industry Knowing that he doesn't like drugs at all.That's my opinion.

What a masterpiece. I especially liked the transition over into the Tommy Vercetti era. You perfectly imaged the downfall of Vic, for all the folks that havent played vice city stories like me. I didn' realize that Vic was actually the same lance brother that appeared at the beginning of vice city. Since he had very different physique than the vic from vice city stories i thought they were 2 entirely different people.

@@Tresicre_T It may not be in the game, but it's the only viable explanation as to why he looked so disheveled in VC and why he would be back in the drug trade with Lance after giving it up at the end of VCS. An official explanation is never given as Rockstar didn't plan ahead when they made him look/sound the way he did in VC, but this is the most logical way.

Until now I still play GTA VCS on my PSP Slim. For me, this story by Victor Vance is the saddest of all GTA stories. All he wants in life is to give his family a good life, and to treat his sick brother. But what happened was that he became a murderer, and the most important woman in his life died. I feel sorry for him, RIP Vic Vance.

Phil Collins. His music rights expired, and since he's a supporting character who appears in missions, and gives a concert, its incredibly hard to delete him from the game. Maybe not *that* hard, but R* will never do it. It's not profitable enough, and they tend to act like the 3D era never happened. Hell, they even don't care about most of the GTAIV characters. Only Brucie, Lazlow, Tony, ULP Contact and Packie appeared in GTA V/Online. Rockstar is a different company now, time to face the facts, sadly.

Now I'm playing GTA V for the first time, I was thinking about how many characters are boring or annoying (cough-cough-Michael's family-cough)
A unfortunately with 5, although I love all three protagonists and rockstar did a great job on them, they just aren’t anywhere near any of the past gta protagonists when it comes to character writing. The 3 protagonists in GTA5 are basically walking stereotypes while the other games had actual fleshed out characters. I’d say their best written character to date is Arthur Morgan, Niko second, Vic third.

I downloaded GTA VCS from PSN to my PS3 several years ago. One of the best underrated GTA games

The epilogue really shows how Vic let himself go after the events of Vice City Stories. In barely 2 years he went from being this straight up clean headed athletic guy to becoming an ugly overweight drug kingpin. He became exactly the type of person he hated like Diaz & co, which inevitably led to his downfall at the beginning of Vice City.

I like how you added the part where victor was drinking his butt off for the past 2 years and we see how he slowly changes into his out of shape self. I mean it makes sense because he been through some hard stuff back in vice city stories. Damn. Victor Vance is the most unlucky protagonist in GTA.

I still remember the cutscene that Vic smiles holding Louise's baby.
Oh man, I cannot articulate how much VCS means to me. This game formed most of my identity, my general music taste, my love for Phil Collins and a whole lot more. Most of my favourite songs are on this very soundtrack. This game (along with VC) also inspired me to watch Miami Vice, which later became one of my favourite TV shows. I love the Jan Hammer tracks used in this video, really brilliant.
Such a beautiful tribute to a fantastic game, thank you so much. And thank you to those at R* who developed this masterpiece (even if you'll never remaster it).
I actually loved vice city stories it was so slept on and I can relate to Vic there’s so much to do in this and most of the story line was based on some real life situations
That ending was awesome and the video is really well made, and how you did show to us the ending of VCS conecting with the begining of Vice city while vic was on depression was brilliant. Really good job in this video
Excellent video! I love how you tied together the beginning of Vice City. It always bothered me how different Vic was in both games, but him becoming depressed after Louise’s death and leading him to drugs actually makes a lot of sense. Great job!

Probably not Advance, but those other two are pretty easy, don't even need a mod for Johnny because he is already in game
After Liberty City 2008 I realized that GTA IV looks good on its own. You just need to find a good ENB, so I don't think there's need for a remake in GTA V with subpar cutscene animations
