    🍔 RECIPE & INGREDIENTS 🍔
    Rice:
    250g sushi rice
    around 320 ml water
    3 tbsps rice vinegar
    3 tbsps water
    2 tbsp sugar
    1) Rinse your rice three times to remove excess starch. Add into a saucepan along with water and bring to a boil. Once it has reached a boil, reduce to a simmer and cover for 10 minutes.
    2) Once the rice has cooked, transfer it to a wide dish and use a wooden or plastic spoon to spread the rice.
    3) Mix your vinegar, water and sugar and sprinkle over the rice, folding and fanning it in order to let the vinegar stick.
    4) Once cool, it can be formed into sushi shapes
    Tempura Prawns:
    250g cleaned jumbo prawns
    50g plain flour
    50g cornflour
    1 egg
    water as needed
    400ml cooking oil
    1) Use a sharp knife to carefully make 2-3 cuts on your prawn so that it can straighten.
    2) Combine your flours together, whisking in the egg and water as needed until the batter holds a thick consistency.
    3) dip your prawns in the batter and fry in preheated oil until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper before use.
    Spicy Tuna Mix:
1 Tin of drained tuna chunks
    2 Spring Onions
    2 tbsp sriracha sauce
    1 tbsp mayo
    1) Finely slice the spring onions and mix it with the rest of the ingredients to create the spicy tuna filling.
    Molding rice:
    100 ml water
    50 ml sushi vinegar
    1) When molding the sushi rice, wipe your hands with this diluted vinegar mixture and handle the rice so that it doesnt stick.

    1. The alcohol in rice wine evaporates while boiling the rice and ginger, but if it's added later it should be replaced with Rice Vinegar! BTW, all naturally fermented things have a small amount of natural alcohol in it, which is produced during fermentation. It's the drinking of alcohol that affects our stomach, liver, and mind, and therefore is forbidden to humans, not small 0.5 - 3% of its amount in food or medicine.
    2. Acc to research on sea animals classification and islamic scholarly advice, Crabs, Prawns, Shrimps, Lobsters, Eels, Shark meat and Caviar are NOT halal and never were halal in the times of God's revelations. The first four are not halal because they are not fish by definition, and are classified as insects of the sea, whereas, shark is a mammal and a sea animal not made for eating, and the caviar is the specific fish eggs, eating which is neither allowed to impede propagation and growth of fish nor is it healthy for humans or the water eco system, even though now it's mostly taken from farm bred fish.
    3. As for eating raw fish, which is cleaned, washed, and very thinly sliced, it is although technically permissable as it's edible, but some people may get nausea or be allergic to it. Recent studies of raw salmon and other fish used in sushi resturants which were tested have warned that they mostly have worms inside, if not properly checked by chefs and still may be hidden inside meat, so it should be avoided. In that case, tempura sushi which is fried in flour batter is more appropriate for consumption.
The detailed info on these research findings and food advisories are easily accessible on google.
