Not surprisingly i actually loved it! (i'm not picky with animated movies unless they are actually bad)

I really like how they only go into Snake and Wolfs characters, so the storylines don’t feel rushed at all, whereas Sing or Sing 2 goes into every characters story which makes it feel rushed.
I wished they gave us flashbacks on their childhood. Would have been wholesome.

You know sing wasn't rushed with the story but it was hated for having a long story instead of music and for sing 2 the story was rushed for the new characters but legend songs and yeah bad guys has amazing story and plot

@@Anime_theatre_lover I enjoyed them as well. Honestly, if the Sing movies were distributed by Pixar, which would be in an alternate universe, they would be a 100 times more better. Several notes on why it would work. Better character development/designs, better focus on story, original songs (except for Ash’s), and would fit well with the Pixar Theory Timeline in between Bugs Life and Monsters Inc.
almost all dreamworks movies are about characters who aren’t your typical protagonist, which is a really fun story structure that dreamworks does very well!

This film was really well done. The best part in my opinion was how much chemistry Wolf and Diane actually had with each other. I could literally see them being like furry Bonnie and Clyde

Funny thing is Snakes don't have the emotional capacity to feel love or emotions. So it makes sense that Snake would be a bad guy in this movie and that could explain why he so mad and has hard like showing his feelings. But maybe this is just a random animal fact that I'm looking too deeply in to. My favorite scene is when Piranha started singing way better than the characters in SING
his voice is so good cuz he was voiced by anthony ramos (he played laurens in hamilton)

Dreamworks does such a great job when they make classics. One example, Shrek !! Sometimes they don’t always nail it with their movies, but at times they also just make their movie so fantastically !!

The Bad Guys was such a good movie! The plot twists really surprised me, especially the old lady being the hamster. Movies that came out in late 2021 and early 2022 have been so good!

Despite being 3D, the Bad Guys is deliciously cartoony. It really bears a strong resemblance to older, slapstick cartoons like Road Runner and whatever, and the fact it looks so good doing so proves that a 3D product doesn't need to be grounded and realistic to be good.
The Bad Guys Movie is one of those movies where I thought the design was bad, but when I watched it, I slowly loved the designs instead! So yeah I love The Bad Guys Movie is good.

wolf and snake have always been the main duo in the books, they were the first two, the founders of their little group. The rest joined later, but they always side with wolf as he was there for them an d is the reason they found a home.
0:15 These movies are actually helped by Guillermo Del Toro, since he’s a fan of animation. That’s what made them better than the present “Family Friendly” ones. I wish he comes back to help them make more films.
I enjoyed all of them. Including his Tales of Arcadia series. Well, all except for the ending.
Saw this film literally a few hours ago, here’s my review of it:
It didn’t end up being as badass and action-packed as the trailer made it out to be, but I still enjoyed it enough. One of the things I liked best about this film was the animation. It has a very unique style. Not sure if this is the case, but it looks to a hybrid of 3D and traditional 2D, either that or it’s fully 3D, and was just trying to capture the style of the illustrations of the books this film is based on. Either way, I always love it when animated films based on books try to recreate the art style of the books. It’s also a very well-lit film, though while I did like the designs of all the animal characters, I wasn’t really a that big of a fan of the designs of the human characters. For this reason, I would have preferred it if the world the film is set in was populated purely with anthropomorphic animals, and not a world where anthropomorphic animals and humans co-exist.
The writing, while having a lot of cliches that I’d rather it didn’t have, cliches which did affect my investment in the film by the way, did at least try to be clever, with it always trying to leave the viewers unsure which characters are good guys, and which are bad guys. While some may find this aspect of the film confusing and hard to keep up with, I liked it. It’s like every single one of this film’s main characters are good guys and bad guys at the same time. The film was also quite funny, but not all of the jokes worked.
But by far the best aspect of the film was the action scenes. While there weren’t as many as the trailer made out they’d be, the ones it did have were still absolutely brilliant, especially the car chases. They gave me just the right amount of adrenaline, were perfectly paced, and one of them even reminded me of the thrills and adrenaline I got from watching Ambulance. I would have enjoyed this film a lot more had there been more action scenes and car chases.
Overall, while there was a great deal of room for improvement, The Bad Guys was still a fun and engaging enough film. If you have kids, I’d say definitely take them to see this film. But animation fans, especially Dreamworks fans are sure to enjoy this film enough too. And if you’re a fan of crime films, and like the idea of an animated film that satirises the crime genre, I’d recommend this film to you too.
Final Grade: B+
B+ is a perfect grade for this movie for sure!

Bruh I watched ambulance like yesterday and my friend said the same thing😝. LOL good movie tho. I haven’t watched bad guys I liked the trailer a lot. And like crime movies. So I will watch it soon enough.
This movie could very easily have been a test case for a franchise and if so I think it succeeded
If it was just anthropomorphic animals, it would just be zootopia. I do agree with you on some level though, we should have seen more animals because there weren’t many apart from the main cast.

The moment i saw the dreamworks intro with the wolf climbing up the moon, i KNEW the animation was going to be amazing (THIS PART IS BEAUTIFUL 1:36) . Also maybe im just dumb but i didn't find it predictable. (nah i think im just dumb) BUUTTTTT the wolf is ho-

I had just watched the movie yesterday and I will never change my mind that that movie will be unforgettable. I loved the bad guys, It was the best DreamWorks film in my opinion.
5:26 I think the reason for that was because Marmalade somehow knew Wolf was easier to manipulate. Maybe in the Christmas prequel they'll be a explanation but idk
I think this movie is probably the best movie I’ve seen since Spiderverse. Now, I don’t think it’s better. No, Spiderverse is like a 10/10 S Rank movie. But this movie is probably funnier that Spiderverse, I’ll give it that. Besides the fart butt 4 year old jokes, every joke was good for me. The animation was top notch. I’d say it’s up there with Spiderverse and Mitchell’s vs the Machines. The action looks like Dreamworks just watched anime, and was like “let’s do that.” The characters were all amazing. All of them had unique personalities, and all had their own special moments. The heist scene planning was very, very good. It reminded me of LEGO Movie, and that is a huge compliment. I also like how they focused on Wolf and Snake mainly, so unlike Sing it felt easier to follow. Even the generic plot didn’t hinder the movie.
My one complaint would be Marmalade’s twist, the only “bad” twist. It could have been handled better. Like, if they instead did Marmalade being an alien, that would’ve been better. If he was using the meteor to conquer earth for his planet, like the books, I think that would’ve been a better twist and ending.
Overall, it would probably be, for me at least, 8/10, or even 8.5/10.
This movie is fantastic. I like how the character's were animated with a lot of comic book elements (Ie into the spider verse) with some good action scenes. They focused enough on the main characters arcs while also highlighting the side character's. I even like how they talk. I mean each character sounds and feels exactly like G rated GTA protagonists and in the best ways possible.

I certainly look forward to seeing this movie with my wife sometime. We haven't seen the Sonic 2 movie yet so we're going to see that first and honestly there might be a chance that we'll wait for the the bad guys to be on streaming services later although maybe we'll still have a chance to go see it in theaters
Just saw it in theaters, and you definitely have to see it on the big screen to appreciate the details. I don't think Sonic benefits as much from the big-screen treatment.
I just got back from watching this in theaters and it is PEAK perfection! Round of applause 10/10

My favourite part was defo the dance scene seeing everyone even the other members of the squad having a good time while trying to do their thing just to get doubled out. I loved this scene and the Wolf and snake scene after breaking out of prison

I was so excited to watch this movie, I finally did the other day, and it was everything I expected. The animation for this movie just makes me feel alive, it's just so beautiful. 😭
Overall, I think it's really great and I had some good laughs. The James Corden joke had me gone, I thought the exact same thing. 💀
And yes.. Wolf is hot.
Dream works can be either good or bad. But the Bad Guys was excellent good. I enjoyed it. Also about the video, it is nice that you collaborated with Mark

It’s been so long when I can finally watch an new original(kinda) Dreamworks film that is actually good.
The scene in 2:38 is a reference to the opening of "Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro" (BTW this one is a banger), is like this entire film is like a big nod to the Lupin III Series.

Fun fact:
something not many people new is that in the books that I read before the movie came out, Marmalade the Guinea pig is actually a butt alien no joke. I’m the books he unzips a costume revealing an alien with cheeks everywhere. I read this when I was a lot younger, and still remember laughing hard at that. If the bad guys makes a sequel, the butt alien will most likely be there.

You don’t know how much this movie touched me. When I was around 7-10 I really liked these books, I read every single one, and even though they were kinda hard to comprehend, it still had a story, and each one hooked me. To this day, I still think the Bad Guys books have built some of my character and personality. Anyways when I heard about this movie, my heart exploded with joy….
(By the way there are, I think 10-12 books.)
Edit: I hope they make more Bad Guys movies, and if they were to make more movies, it would make a lot of sense why they focused on Wolf and Snake.

To be honest, diane foxington from the bad guys is like spamton from deltarune chapter 2 because they both wore glasses and they both make deals and i think i remember the fox girl say now's your chance to redeem yourselves like how spamton says now's your chance to be a big shot. When wolf talked to the fox girl on the stairs it reminded me of the original spamton fight in deltarune and when the fox girl was reavealed to be the crimson paw, it reminded me of spamton neo. Instead of rescuing wolf and the gang, i was expecting the fox girl to fight them instead and have wolf's soul turn yellow and be able to shoot things and wolf and the gang will be in minecarts and the fox girl wants to take wolf's body as a vessal and says he doesn't need his freinds. Wolf and the gang can either beat the fox girl up or break her strings and then they get an item and a shadow crystal and also marmalade is also kinda like queen since they're both selfish. Could someone please do a YTPMV of now's your chance to be a big shot where the fox girl sings now's your chance to redeem yourselves and also with sounds from the movie. Since matpat did a ness is sans theory, i could also see him do a diane foxington is spamton theory. So at the end of the day, the fox girl from the bad guys is like a female version of spamton from deltarune.

I read the Bad Guys books, and omg I loved this movie- I loved it almost as much as I love the books.
I liked that we were given a basic idea of the other team members' personalities and left to judge the rest for ourselves. Not everything has to be Pixar-deep. This film was a lot of fun, and I like that Pirana farts. Not because I usually enjoy that, but since it's attached to his emotions, the action is given a reason to exist.

I'm pretty sure the whole joke of them thinking the heart meteorite looks like a butt is because in the books the guinea pig I'd revealed to be a but alien. The story told in the movie doesn't match the books directly but it does take details and scenes from the books and change it to fit the story, which I really like.

Anyone who remotely likes this movie PLEASE read the books. The books are my favourite books of all time. They may be childish but I like the simplistic aspects. And it’s random like someone is just letting there imagination going wild!

As A person who Read the original Series, I LOVED the Movie, and best thing is its on Peacock. But I was Really happy they did not change the characters in any major way that altered the plot, except I swear Snake was a girl and Spider was a boy.
This movie was already my new #1 fave the mere second I heard of its existence.
The plot twists were, to me, half-expectable. When the twist was coming up I had a feeling I knew what was happening, and then when they _did_ happen, in my head I was like, "oh wow!" (that's probably just me realizing I was actually right, though.)
I will admit, I thought the movie was gonna go in a _totally_ different direction before I watched it (granted I never read any of the books till after). I originally thought there was gonna be another group of bad guys that the main Guys would have to stop. I'm fine with what we got, though! Equally as enjoyable (and less predictable, lemme tell ya that!)
Comedy was...alright. Pirhana ( I hope I spelled that right) and his farting had their place. What I'll dub the "vore" scenes really put me _off_ (being correspondent to something I am not a fan of at all). I'm glad the only ones we got were already shown on the trailers.
Visually, this movie is just...I don't even know how to describe it without bringing up the obvious. It's so good. I will say though, from what I remember of the movie (I only saw it once in theaters, may watch again), there was a lot of backlighting on the characters. In a lot of scenes, the edges of them do seem lit up. You can even see it in the thumbnail of this video! Not that I'm complaining, it's just something I noticed.
All and all, it was a _really_ good movie! Highly recommend!
For some reason I thought at first that it was about the wolf thinking about his actions and attempting to be an actual good person and stop doing crimes but nah it clearly isn't about that.
Honestly tho the ending is predictable and everyone becomes good. If they ever do make a sequel I think the story should focus on old stories between them maybe focusing on different characters and their insane heist. This movie is very clearly just a fun wacky experience to show off cool and fun things and not be that deep so they can ride that coat tail by making a prequel showing them steal more things and butt heads and stuff
Also I really like piranha...outside if the farting I just adore psycho manic characters that tear through everything just because they are crazy enough to try followed by Tarantula because --she's hot-- she's such a cool concept and shark is amazing because he is just the big lovable dude while also having a bit of soul to him. I won't go into detail on that but as a black dude shark reminds me of a lot of people in my family to say the least

The wolf’s last line about the push pop(I don’t really remember what he said) that line gave my brother deja vu from when he was eleven and he said he had a dream that was had the same characters and same line not sure how or why.
I would love any evidence on that actually happening. Also just for your information if he was eleven at the time it was in 2018 that he had this dream.
