Hello Happy Travelers!
Welcome onboard Odyssey of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s newest ship! This is a Quantum Plus class ship! This ship is very similar to Quantum class ships, such as Anthem of the Seas, but has new features unique to Odyssey! Some of the classic Quantum inclusions found on Odyssey include the SeaPlex, Two70, Cafe at Two70, the North Star, Ripcord by iFly, Bionic Bar, Flowrider, and the Royal Esplanade! New features include Playmakers located in the SeaPlex, SkyPad, laser tag, Zone Zero (virtual reality game), Lime & Coconut Bar, Caribbean Pool Deck, and El Loco Fresh!
Today is a day at sea! Let’s take a look at what you can do onboard! To do this, we need to understand what is and is not included. Two big ticket items on this ship are Ripcord by iFLY (skydiving simulator) and the North Star (observation vessel). There are some complimentary sessions available for each activity, as well as sessions of additional cost. The free sessions get booked fast, so reserve early so you don’t miss out. Another extra cost activity is renting a cabana on the Caribbean Lime & Coconut pool deck. One activity that is completely free is 3-2-1 Bumper Cars in the SeaPlex! Also included was our dining options at the Windjammer Buffet and Main Dining Room! Other fun activities included playing pool in the Music Hall and Hot Tubs in the Solarium!

So very happy to see you and JJ dining with us common folks in the MDR! We ate in the main dining room every night on symphony last time and had our best dining experience of any Cruise ever. I have not seen the inside of a windjammer in over 700 days now for any meal. I love sitting my very large cruising butt down and being waited on by that fabulous Royal crew. I'm looking out on the Santorini Caldera and the Odyssey of the Seas is right in front of me... you can't imagine the amount of filthy smoke it constantly pushes in the air. I guess the ship is producing more greenhouse gasses in a day than all the cars on Santorini together.
My husband and I have been on 8 RC cruises, 7 Princess cruises, 8 Carnival cruises and 9 HAL cruises. Liked all of them but do not like the mega ships. HAL has a lot going on during the day and late into the night, so it isn't just for old people like myself (74).

WOW!! I am so glad I did the iFly and the North Star on Ovation in 2019 for free. It's unfortunate that there is a cost to those now but I get it, the cruise line has to make the revenue from somewhere from not sailing for 18 or so months. And yikes....those cabanas are $$$$. Good think I like my sun and some VitD time, haha

I go on Odyssey next April FLL-Rome. 15 nights. I'm guessing they are trying to recovery revenue they lost during the shutdown.
Hi Kevin! It could be that, it could also be that groups were required to be smaller due to Covid so they made the change due to that and then kept it. It could also be that availability was tight so they added an extra cost to lighten the load? I'm not sure, all are completely possible reasons. We hope you have the best time on your sailing! Nice video! How long is each bumper car session please? How many times can one reserve bumper car ride per day? Are the nightly shows good? You had early dining in MDR? Thank you!
Hi! You actually do not need to reserve the bumper car sessions, there is just a first come first serve line during hours of operation, so you can ride the bumper cars as many times as you want! The bumper car rides are about 2-5 minutes long. We enjoyed all the nightly shows we saw! We hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🛳

I just found your channel with interesting blogs and added in to my listing. I have couple questions about booking IFly and North Star on RC with Complimentary sessions. You stated it is better to book on first day on board. Did you book through Customer Services Center or APP only?
Hi Wen Mac! Thanks for watching! So you can reserve these activities in the Royal Caribbean App (which is what we did) or I believe you can go to the Ripcord station desk (which is in the back of the ship by the flow rider and ripcord tube). We hope this helps! 🤗❤️🛳

With the new charge for the cabanas, do you know of is this on Navigator as well, or are they still FCFS?
I've seen some other cruise vlogs and it seems like Odyssey is the only one with paid cabanas. The others still seem to be FCFS.
