Vent connection?
How do you attach the damper after the microwave is mounted??
What are the extra holes in the cabinet floor ? Practice ?
How good is the vent on this. I can never find any reviews for microwaves
2:38 Does it matter which direction the exhaust damper flap is facing when on top? Here you have it so the flap opens up away from the back. My instruction manual shows it opposite but doesn't say specifically that it needs to be done that way.
The vid gives instruction for both ways depending on how you want it to vent from the top or back as I recall.
Thanks for posting this! It’s been very helpful so far. I have a question though- my template overlaps my backsplash tile at the bottom, so the bracket wouldn’t be flat against the wall. I noticed at 3:52 that your bracket also overlaps the tile at the bottom, but I couldn’t tell if you made the drywall flush with the tile to keep everything flat?
Bingo, I expect dealing with backsplash to be TOTAL NIGHTMARE, as all the MW I'm looking at will overlap with bk splash! This guy had weird deal where wall and bk splash were basically already flush?? Must be nice.
I hate the thought of cutting bk splash OR using shim at top to acct for space. 😣😣
What did you end up doing?
@@delg1211 I ended up putting some washers on the screw between the bracket and the wall to make it more flat. Was able to install the microwave successfully, although the whole thing was a bit of a headache!

Haaa! it would have been better if they had shown using the vent plate installation!! they knew it was tricky!
Why isn't the back flush with the wall?
How is it mounted I don't know how to remove it
Looking to buy this microwave model. Reply if you have one to sell
I used a Easy off Cleaner in my Stainless Steel Microwave it got discoloured stain 😭. Is there anything I could do to solve this issue?
You can buy stainless steel spray paint and adhesive peel and stick.
👍👍
Lot of complaints with the Whirlpool door monted control models having problems with the door coming apart / broken plastic pieces falling out.
How to change light bulb
I need to remove the same mw… top bolts are removed but the mw will not tilt down . It is stuck on something and I’m about to rip my hair out. Any ideas? Thanks
@@repairclinic look for safety catch. Older units have a "pull handle" hidden in the top area of the front of the unit. This releases the safety catch on the top of the old style bracket.
Mind was the vent had to be pried up to release it. I’m sure u have already figured it out by now . Lol!
My existing microwave has no screws on the top
Mine didn’t come with the wall template
Know this is old but .
They don't use the (paper) templates anymore. The template Is the cardboard shipping box on the outside you will see . It's better because it not flimsy as paper no one ready the directions 😂 . I almost said the same thing .
What happens if you don’t rotate the blower motor? I mounted my microwave on the wall above my stove without reading the instructions first and didn’t know I had to rotate the blower motor until after I mounted it. 😬
The fan air has no where to go. You are blowing it into itself. My guess would be it will easily overheat or smoke damage.
I noticed the technician dropped a blower motor screw while trying to pull it out. That's what I'm afraid of.

Who knows what the little plastic piece with teeth is?
