I’ve left all my mags fully loaded for years with issues whatsoever.
    Glock 9mm
    1911 45ACP
    AR-15
    Bolt-action 6.5CM
And marking the mags is something else I’ve done since owning firearms. And for the exact purpose of knowing that if any of them have issues, I know exactly which one it is.

What? Why not just buy new ones? I'm not replacing springs!

Springs are generally way cheaper than the mag, depending on the manufacturer

That's exactly what I was thinking, I would just prefer to replace the mag, WTH

That wasn't Mythbusting. You stated your opinion. But not the facts behind it. I feel you really failed to actually answer the question.

      EXACTLY, This was pointless

The only magazine I've ever had to weaken to the point it wasn't reliable was one Glock magazine I had been using on the range (loaded and unloaded repetitively).

Hmmmm I looked this up cause I'd like to prevent a malfunction in a self defense situation. My holsters carry an extra mag, but realistically there's no time to clear and switch mags in that situation...although carrying one in the chamber buys you time.

No but F'd up out of spec, oddly shaped metal case ammo will make even good mags fail.
