I think it's fair to say that Corgan is the Pumkins. He has always been the primary songwriter, at least that's what all my old CD say on them. Don't get me wrong I miss the old lineup too but ... it's fair to say. Read the second paragraph on Wiki.
@nikolak29 I kinda feel Billy is to SP what Trent Reznor is to NIN. I MISS the old members... but I don't get to sad because they were never really the bands main creative outlet.
@JonnyDayCase Like the original pumpkins was never more than a cover band with Corgan pulling the strings. I mean didn't he record all the instruments for Siamese Dream? It just looks funny you got a 40 year old with like a highschool band.
@TheJeremiahD there's just billy and no one else from the pumpkins, how can you say that they're REALLY the smashing pumpkins? for me and for the real fans this is just a cover band
Everybody can sing really, but not everybody actually sounds good :L Billy is however one of those singers who are so bad that it's actually kinda good, if that makes sense :L Besides he's improved since the 90's, and the Pumpkins music would be different without his voice

@lpazos Even though they did tour under a different name last year, this is Smashing Pumpkins. i think the drummer is 19 or 20.

this is one of the dryest sounding recordings ever. Its like they forget to turn their reverb units on
