  • I decided to experiment with a livestream video. Just testing to see if I have a fast enough internet connection to do a livestream, and if the format could be useful. I had 2 viewers, but they did not ask questions, as far as I could tell. If I do it again, I think I will have a camera person that can watch for questions, and also have the livestream at scheduled time. Let me know in the comments if you would be interested in a live Q & A on how to peen a scythe blade. In the meantime, my most instructive video can be found at • Zen and the Art of Pee... and of course I have detailed instructions on my website at www.onescytherevolution.com/p...

It's great to see a new video from you! If I could make a request... It would be great if you could explain each step of the process as you go along. Peening can be tricky so it would probably help people better understand. You have a wealth of knowledge that needs to be shared.
    God Bless you my friend

I'm from Russia and too far. I'm learning to scythe by myself and your new formation/ lesson very useful to me.
Perfect connection, sound, camera and all impression. Great job. You are one of the best. You have huge experience behind and love what you do.

Good lighting and photography showing what the peened edge should look like.

I would be interested in this sort of explanatory video. Thank you

Great! I learned a lot from this video -- especially how to dull the peeing surface to prepare for the next pass, thanks.

Yes, I create a matte finish along the edge with a rust-eraser sand block. Then when you hammer the edge, your hammer marks turn the metal shiny, so you can see what you are doing.

Is the plastic roller part of the anvil kit or is that your own innovation?

It's my own innovation. I call it the 1SR Roll-Guide and I sell them with my Premium Picard Peening Kits.

Don't know what I just watched.
Or why it was recommended to me.
    Why the sparkplug??

Someone is telling you to get a scythe and learn to use it.

A video premiere is a video that prerecorded and published on a pre-announced time. At that time it is played with the ability of a chat. Usually the video creator is present in the chat.
A live stream is a video that is created at that moment, and more suitable for Q&A.

A premier video would be a better way to do this. I obviously can not see the live chat while I am peening. This was just a quick test to see what a livestream was like and if I had a fast enough internet to do it.
