      That you could add the materials to gradually, until you can ‘bank’ it in your inventory under the blueprints tab to paste wherever you want. That’s what I anticipated and was disappointed, I haven’t even used it yet as online blueprints use materials I haven’t unlocked yet. Almost there, just unlocked the last tiers.

      @@ian.alvesfthere are two ways to feed the resources into multiple machines - manifold and load balance. Team *whatever* is group of people that like to use one method over another in most scenarios
      Technicaly, there is the third way of feeding machines - direct, but that becomes inefficient in like 30-50 hours of gameplay

    • @just_archan
      @just_archan Před měsícem

      @@ian.alvesf manifold means you feed ie 8 constructors that requires 15 iron ingots each by making one MK2 or mk3 conveyor with ingots, then placing splitters along the way to each constructors. Con is that there will be lot of time before first machines will be filled to brim. So machines will need a time to get 100% efficiency.
      Spreaders are spreading products using splitters to exact amounts. Same example? You use first splitter to divide to 2x60. Then each of 60 divide to 2x30. And again that you got on each output 15. Pro of this approach is that everything is on 100% efficiency from start. And there is some elegance in that solution.
      Pro of manifolds is that they are very easy to expand. Just upgrade miner and conveyor belt, then just add next segments.
      Personally I use spreaders for production lines for particular elements, and manifolds for power. But that's only general tendency, not a rule

  • @jace_Henderson
    @jace_Henderson Před 11 měsíci +3

    Apart from the low effort assembler belts distribution. Pretty nice. I actually found a pretty good way of lining multi input machines up too. If you center a stackable conveyor pole to an input, moving it one click towards the direction the belt will be traveling from, stack it two high, then Hook a belt to it, and put the splitter at the edge of the belt and it’ll line the splitter directly with the input. Then use a conveyor lift to bring the higher belts down to the inputs and hook the splitters up to the lift. Then after you hook the other belt up on the other side, delete the stackable conveyor pole and centered it below the splitter. This will make the splitter look supported while also being high enough to not have the belts clip into the splitters below it. So each belt you bring in should be 2 stackable poles above the belts below it. You also do this because a conveyor lift can only go as low as 2 poles. This really only works in situations where you can get away with overflowing the machine inputs.
    This same method works for ceiling logistics too. You want splitters to line up, you take a belt out of the lift a full click out. So it’ll turn blue and almost be inside the lift, pull it one more click out and when you throw splitters on, all the splitters will line up and this will work for both load balancing and overflow.
    I’ll probably make a video on this because it’ll sound less confusing.

    The merger/splitter setup after the melters are dumb and completely unbalanced. With two outputs of the first splitter you get a 50/50 output. So the second splitter receives 50% of the total ingots. Splitter 3 gets 25% and splitter 4 gets 12.5%. This is a horrible way to build. It would have been much better to just connect the melter directly over to the constructor.

    • @GrillerRohde
      @GrillerRohde Před 20 dny

      This creates the problem of having 4 smelters and 5 constructors so either you split the output of the 4 smelters or get 5 smelters.
      His set up just needs some time because at the beginning material will back up and block the splitter, this will cause the splitter to send the majority of the material to the only available belt. After some minutes it’ll balance itself.
      Not the best solution but it’ll work just fine.

IMO it’s better to have sort of a mega bank with containers of each type and pouring everything in its container. Then pulling from the container as you need. This way you can always use 100% of your resources and scale the production of any resource as needed. Using blueprints it’s pretty quick to add a new floor to increase production of 1 specific item.
