  • For the last 3 years I've been learning about, and working with wool to make reusable dreadlocks. When I first started I spent days looking all over CZcams, and the internet to try to find a tutorial for crinkly style wool dreadlocks. The info was only available behind a paywall. I believe in free education, and sharing your craft with as many people as you can. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, please leave a comment with any questions. Subscribe to my channel, and follow me on TikTok for more hair tutorials, and dreadlock maintenance.

in 2018 i started my love in the art of creating "knotlocs!" i started in wool. Your technique definetely has taken off of the rolling process and this i awesome with the wavey look. in 6 years now ive learned so many techniques. after researching all the looks of different synthetic dreads the crochet technique is my favorite. lately ive wanted to get back into wool and saw this! I love mixing up synths and wool to wear together. thanks for the extra idea!!

Chrissy THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!! I've been looking for this for the longest! I've asked people who make them and they've actually replied with "I paid a lot of money to learn this craft." The funny thing is I'd still purchase from them if they have a good product, but none the less I'd love to know how and why not everyone makes this style. ANYWAY, YOU ARE AMAZING AND I AM SO GREATFUL THAT YOU SHOWED ME THE WAY!! XXOO

does anyone know if it would ruin them if you tossed them in the drier after the second round in the washer? Or is that an option to make sure they're felted completely? I'm making them for the first time so want to know my options

I've thrown them in the dryer after with no problems, just make sure they are in the pillow case :)

@@TrueNorthLocks Awesome, thanks for the tips and the video, it's been extremely helpful! I wasn't expecting the amount of shrinkage, but seems kinda obvious since it's wool... xD but it still worked great!

Great tutorial do they come a loose when you wash them or do they feel stiff from the soap?

They are always permanently felted together tightly, but extremely soft and flexible.

Will this work in a washer without an agitator?

It's working for me :( if you're on mobile try to "force stop" CZcams and reopen the app. If you're on desktop I'm not sure because it's working fine in my Firefox browser 🖤🖤
