One day trek near Mumbai : Garbett Plateau / Garbett Point
Garbett Point Trek is an amazing destination to enjoy the beauty of nature. One can explore the lovely pathways, lush forests, fresh air, beautiful lake, waterfalls with woodland sounds, serene lakes, and calm streams. Garbett Point Trek is a wonderful destination to be away from the noise and chaos of city life. Spend lazy afternoons strolling through verdant forests, and evening exploring the majestic views of Matheran and Bhivpuri lake (Dhom lake)
How to reach Garbett Point / Plateau
1) Take a Karjat train and get down at Bhivpuri Road station. The trail starts at Bhivpuri station. Ask anyone how to reach Dhom lake or Garbett Plateau, they will guide you.
2) Take a Karjat train and get down at Neral. From Neral, take a shared cab / toy train to Matheran. From Matheran ask locals about direction to Garbett Point. From Garbett point you can do a descend trek as well.
