I’ve used this same or very similar design on a economy server for the past year. Apart from the servers stacking plug-in it works really well. I have it setup in a 3x6 chunks

here's an idea what to use the cactus farm for.
just turn the collection area into a bonemeal area.
and all the collected cactus will be turned into bonemeal. much more useful and your long hours are feeling less wasted.
Can be used for xp like sb737 did
that's about 3500 bonemeal per hour which is pretty good
@@allen_mc8449 true, but to be honest the piglin farm seems better seeing you can let your character just afk, while with that one you have to do things manually.

I have a big cactus farm that i use Allays to grab the extra cactus that gets stuck on the fences. I have an open concept. I was surprised how much was just sitting on the fences. Great videos!

Hey Shulkercraft! I love your videos! I must though disagree with this being the largest cactus farm ever, me and 5 other friends had a 64 chunk cactus farm (128 blocks wide, 128 blocks long and 256 blocks high) going from bedrock to the sky limit (we had to mine out a 128*128 block square down to bedrock to build this farm). It took us about 5 months to finish, this was the biggest Swedish minecraft server at the time where cactus was the main source of income. (xPlay is the name of the server for anyone wondering)

Why not to just replace fences with open fence gates? Easy and cheap solution which increases efficiency of the farm

@@Shulkercraft but are you replacing just those specific post with gates or all of them? The gates may not harvest the cactus, u could just use a sign if your just replacing those specific ones.

So much effort for just one video. These guys are really amazing.
Spending 42 hours on a farm is beyond insane and what makes it even crazier is that it is built by 2 people! This would probably take a person in a single player world about 80-90 hours to plan, collect and build a farm of this monstrosity… I mean that’s just insane. Your videos are awesome and you guys make a boring and tiring experience of 42 hours of building a farm into a few minutes of entertainment. Respect ✊🏽

I felt like I've seen larger versions of these back in 1.8 factions when that was a huge thing. I know a faction I was apart of that consisted of 30 members took over a week building theirs, and we where on the lower end compared to the 100+ member groups.

Please connect the cactus storage to a carpet duper based auto smelter ( Huge ) and it can also be your biggest xp farm yet.😊😊👌👌

The farm will probably get overloaded and jammed, because the number of cacti generated per minute is tons of times faster than the number of cacti smelt per min.
So u would lose loads of cacti every second

@@madhavkaushik5931 Nah, 50k cactus/hour is like 150 cactus per 10 seconds, which means you have to use like 150-200 furnaces, which is not that huge.

It's a cool build, and it has potential to be used for practical purposes. Cactus isn't super useful in bulk by itself, but you can use it with a furnace array to make a really strong passive XP farm, and you can also use composters with this to make a good bonemeal farm. The flex is probably worth it alone, but now that it's built it might as well be put to good use.
Oh my! I’ve been smelting glass the wrong way this whole time! Thank you for the lava trick, I am gonna try it out.
Sad Edit: I had 50 hoppers leading into double chests with the appropriate lava setup…. I dropped 22 shulker boxes worth of sand into the lava and nothing came into the chests… Not even glass or sand… 😞All my time gathering sand has been wasted.

This one is really big, I had already seen a big cactus farm on the Forever Player channel but this one is very nice
It could actually be useful as an xp farm
Just lead the cactus into a bunch of furnaces (with fuel of course), wait for a bunch to smelt, and you get xp even if you only take one from each furnace and just dump the rest
Or you could save the dye lol

Or you can just make a bamboo farm without wasting any time to get fuel.

sci craft blitz has such thing with a huge cactus farm from bed rock to top of the build limit and it produces XP 2

this is by far not the biggest cactus farm, german youtuber trymacs has built a much bigger cactus farm on hypixel skyblock
You can easily find quite a few MUCH bigger cactus farms that have been built in survival just by searching it up on youtube... reminds me of the "fastest creeper farm" you made
But this time they included 'probably' in the title. Because they know that these farms are easy to expand

These guys inspire me to build something , like I tried to build the Eiffel tower in creative and got bored when I saw the tutorial. The only thing I have build in survival is the enderman farm and spider spawner farm . I have no clue where they get the patience to do this
