An other reason why I love these guys: They NEVER give up even if a single water bucket destroys the redstone...

Tip for moving ravengers:
If you use a shield when he tries to headbutt you, it buffs him. He gets dizzy and will not move or do anything for a few seconds, that way you have time to move, or push it into the place you want, or perhaps escape, and save yourself.

@@Zerschnetzler Cubicmetre has one. He designed the farm himself and has a tutorial about it. Plus, you can almost build anything with litematica which shulkercraft also uses and never mentions because it may anger soem vanilla purists. They are complete idiots btw :P
Some tips if anyone tries to build this farm for themselves:
-I'd recommend putting in the pistons for the tree crushers/movers last. I got a lot of quick redstone update placing other blocks that would cause the sticky pistons to eject what's attached to them and it's a pain resetting them all the time.
-Items you need that won't show up on a litematica materials scan: 4 ravagers, 4 nametags (for the ravagers), 4 boats and 4 minecarts (to run into the ravagers making them jump), 2 buckets (for the dispensers at the bottom of the water columns for the tree pusher), items for hopper clocks. You'll also need some bonemeal to kickstart the bonemeal farms.
-There are a few hopper clocks so make sure you check the world download for how many items to put in them
-Don't forget the empty buckets in the dispensers at the bottom of the water columns like I did🙃
-If you turn the farm on (either part of it) wait a little before turning it off, even it was a mistake. The bonemeal farms in particular are prone to creating cobble and breaking if you power cycle too quick.
-I found it easier to get into the swing of running the farm by putting 4 saplings in place before turning the farm on. After the tree grows, there's a bit of time before the bonemeal dispenser that grows the trees is active again, so you can get in position and plant more before it try to grow them again.
What are the ravagers even there for? They didn't explain that at all.
@@Argosh The ravagers are there to break any leaves that may spawn at the y level the sapplings were. I think that's also why they have to be jumping (hence the boat/minecart pushing into them).
If the leaves are too close to the moss layer, it could prevent them from turning into podzol. (I didn't know that until I watched one of Ilmango's sky block videos about a dirt farm he was building)

It makes sense that this is the most difficult farm he has ever built, it is for the most valuable resource in the game.

This is insane, the guy who invented this farm is a genius. Find that spruce grow side to moss block transform those into dirt
The guy is definitely a genius because he build such a complex farm, however, players on 1.17+ oneblock and skyblock servers used this moss mechanic for a while now…

I would reccomend using litematicas compare feature. It finds any blocks in the wrong state or missing in the schematic

I think it would be cool if you expand the farm and make a switch to toggle between getting dirts, clays, mud, or even moss out of the farm. Then more resources would become renewable.

Ravagers break foliage like leaves and stuff, I believe it uses that mechanic to get rid of spruce leaves when they are generated by the trees and prevent obstruction

It's a really simple farm. If you can't figure out how to build it yourself from the world download just use other channels for the modules and adapt them slightly.

Thanks for supplying the world download, I know it sounds silly, but I'm in a skyblock, and farming dirt is painfully slow. getting a farm more efficient than ray's (come on, a few hundred per hour???) was exactly what I was looking for.

@@lamalello I play a skyblock inspired by protosky. I started with a grass block and lava in the overworld, and a crimson wood tree in the nether.

@nielsvanhoudt6151 nether fortresses naturally spawn blazes, so using the bounding boxes of fortresses you can create blaze farms
You should create the largest redstone project: gather all the amazing farms you created in on world/map (with litematica)

@@elisgus135 Even though the farm was invented by someone else, he still had to reverse engineer it and build it in his MC world instead of just copy pasting it in with worldedit or something.
Most people are just going to open the build and paste it into their world, and there's nothing wrong with that hence why the build is available for download on both channels.

maybe its to destroy the grass growing from blocks so it doesnt clog up the storage

I think in Java edition they can only destroy leaves and crops, but not grass or azalea bushes (at least that is what Minecraft wiki says), so I guess it must be to destroy the leaves? Either that, or the farm was originally designed for bedrock edition and they are left over from that where they did something else.

You can make soil with moss, just plant the pine seedling and it turns into soil, then just automate it
holy shit that's genius, using waterlogged stair block as a piston arm so that it can refill when it goes back into place, i forgot that waterlogging can spread into blocks

I always knew dirt can be farmed somehow but didn't worry about researching it.. at the end the process turns out to be this simple. Stone -> moss -> podzol -> dirt>
But do you know for what the revengers are. I Cant figure it out

Yo idk if you’re gonna read this but for the ravagers, a much more simpler, albeit slightly more dangerous method is to send them through the nether. That way, they won’t be part of the raid anymore and you can use name tags to hold them into the nether until you get all four when you need them.

the main thing I got from this is that moss can be converted into podzol, I'm annoyed I didn't already realise this, much quicker and easier than rooted dirt

I wonder if some blocks could be replaced with simpler equivalents. since the obsidian is just for a blast chamber it could be plain obsidian. the gold blocks don't seem to be a strict requirement. just a decent block to place the wiring on.
