Sitting on the floor of our London flat, I had no clue I was about to do something that would give me purpose, meaning, and fulfillment in the most powerful ways. Love this, it speaks to me so deeply. It's 2023 and I'm 37 and have kept saying for the last 7 years that I want to start a travel blog but just keep putting it off, instead i just end up living in a town i hate jumping from one minimum wage job to another. I love travelling so much and my life's ambition is visit every country in the world, but I'm married and my husband is not into travel as much and I have always felt that societal pressure to settle down and get a regular job.

Thanks for sharing your story! Like many, I wondered where that name came from. I'm glad you followed your heart and are living your dream and passions. Your tag line "Travel Well" reminds me of my own leap of faith in changing my career. I used to be in a dead end job, but after a year of reflection, I discovered that I have always had a passion for listening to and caring for people. After a weekend of meditation, the words "Love Well" came to crystallize in my heart. And now, after a few years of training, I am a Counsellor, and living my dream. And I am constantly discovering how I can Love Well in all its forms!

A beautiful story Phoebe - and just so chuffed that I've been along for the ride for a fair bit of that time with you. Here's to the world opening up again - COVID dashed our trip to Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan last year, but still hoping. Keep up your amazing and inspirational work!
You've been there from the start, that's for sure, Aubrey!! Yes, here's to being able to travel again :) I can't wait.
Your younger self looks so much like you now. I totally feel you with your story that you want to be or do something different in a different place. When I travelled for the first time to Australia, which was December 2019 / January 2020 I discovered that Australia and the Aussie people suit me much better than The Netherlands and the Dutch people. The mentality of the Aussies was so different in a positive way, that I decided I want to live there. I looked for the options and saw that I could get a work visa because I’m in the Skilled Occupations list. So I scheduled an IELTS test to make sure I my English was good enough. But then in April 2020, COVID-19 struck and I figured out that I was unable to move to Australia in the next few years. Which made me sad, because age also plays a role in the points-based system and I’m getting older every year and valuable time passes by. My dream goal was to move to Melbourne or Sydney and get a job at Qantas (preferably in the IT Department). The thing with Aussies points-based system is that you invest thousands of euros and you’re not even sure if the government will choose you, and if they choose you if they are approving your application. Everything went different and I moved out of my parents home in december 2020 and live on my own now, with a friend as housemate. I’m still working for my current employer, an airline ground handler at Eindhoven Airport and Schiphol Airport. Hopefully one day, I’ll be able to move to Aussie and get my dream job. Oh and out of curiosity: which Lonely Planet book are you in? I’ve got a lot of them here, mostly every destination I’ve ever visited. Thanks for sharing your story and have a great week! 🤙

Watching this particular episode brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat Phoebe. I came across your channel while looking for inspiration on visualizing already living in Australia. I fell in love in 2005 on my first trip and have tried to get a work visa without any success since. I work in the film industry here in Canada and can not get a visa to work there. System is set up so differently.
I am also a Certified Biofeedback Specialist and I am wanting to work and live in the Gold Coast to Sunshine Coast area fulfilling my dream of helping both people and animals.
Your feeling of emptiness and being unfulfilled is how I have feeling. I am happy to see you have managed to fulfill your dreams. I am now 60 and still working towards mine dream.

I am at this point where you were. And funny enough I am the same age your were back then. I love watching all thing travel on CZcams. I went to my first trip overseas in 2017 and fell inlove with the travel feeling. I haven't has the money or time since then to travel overseas again.
I would love to start a travel blog. But I am stuck on a name. I am not sure if it should have my name in or my niche. I have been stuck on this for weeks. And this is what is stopping me at this moment to carry on.
Hopefully one day I can also leave my corporate job and travel the world. Even though I don't feel that could be possible for someone like me.

Yes, absolutely! I felt like that quite a bit and still feel that way now with our CZcams channel. It can be really hard pouring so much time, love and hard work into something and not feeling like it's growing in the way you want it to. I totally get it. I found my blog kicked off when I started focusing on SEO and posting very frequently. I used to publish a new post every day and followed SEO guidelines closely, which helped search engines see my content as valuable and, in turn, see our website as reliable! It took a good few years for things to pick up but that's because it took me a good few years to learn about SEO and have enough time to post lots of content!
