Wow what a nice video. It helps me understand some things. I have been to Addis 4 times, not back then, I wish I would have also but most recently in the years 2018 and 2019. I was there most recently in August 2019. I have been pass Merkato. It is like in the north of Addis. Kind of if you are going to the US embassy. If you are for example where Airport Rd is. Before I knew that merkato was a historic place I knew it was a historic place because you can tell that merkato is historic because it does not appear modern like the building in other parts of Addis. Most of Addis is a modern city; with skyscrapers, metro, express rd, like Ring rd. Overpasses, everything. By watching this video I see that the busses in Addis are still orange and red and the taxis are blue. May god bless Ethiopia and all Ethiopians.
Most striking is the almost peaceful disinterest of those being recorded (except for the few kids, children everywhere are curious) as much as those recording this semi-doc awashed with conspicuous insencirity to land in the French national archive, ...one can not but ask why? Tezevu
