He is the first cji who got himself in the limelight and who adopted digital means to show how the judiciary works and it can make us more aware about the judiciary system and we can scrutinize more when they go wrong or right. He ushered in digital transformation in the judiciary system despite knowing that he would be more under public scrutiny.

Lakhs of cases are pending in courts .. If doctors prescriptio s can be standrdised why cant law and judgements too be standardised with AI / ML so judgements can be made across all regions / languages very very fast .... and judges work is reduced ???? Justice given tolakhs of people in jails and outside unpunished ????

How insensate does he sound when he compares Indian SC with that of US ? They are non-comparables. US Fed court has a defined set of jurisdiction and they are not mandated to deal with n number of cases. Rationalise the judiciary. Don't compare oranges and apples. Draw the lines, when it has to final and also at which point. I should not be allowed to come to Supreme court for an appeal when there's something wrong in my petition as per law and the highcourt has already delivered the justice. Is it just to satisfy the Indian Ego that I'll appeal and see you in court ? In essence, there is no clarity of interpretation at the high courts and supreme courts. One example is when a high court recently decided upon the MFN clause and OECD membership case in which Nestle was a party, the supreme court overruled and decided against the high court. Though it is allowed, but what did the SC do ? They promoted unfair means of business just to satisfy the adamancy of the govt that they are always right. Nonetheless, Mr.Utkarsh was too soft in his questions. It could have been more on a critical side of Indian Judiciary, though the reforms initiated are appreciated word by word. There is a gap where the thought of SC is ending, the actual need of citizen is starting, which judiciary is failing to deliver time and again.
