    I love that Utility. I hope when my department replaces our 90s utility, they go with that kind of build. Beautiful catches bro!

    Love all the apparatus from this department. The rescue could use an upgrade, but everything is top line. What is there “Mini attack” used for? Brush/grass/woods fires, car fires, dumpster fires? What else? Also, do they get many brush fires?

    • @LowHudEmergency
      @LowHudEmergency  Před 6 lety +3

      Actually, the rescue just got an upgrade. Brand new Seagrave tandem axel heavy rescue was just delivered a few weeks ago. The mini attack is primarily used for brush fires and is usually first out the door for them. It is also usually first out the door for wires/trees down and that kind of stuff. And it is also on the assignment for motor vehicle accidents, and usually rolls third after Engine 199 and the rescue if they have manpower for it. Like many of the departments around here, much of the area they cover is nothing but woods. There is usually a season for brush fires in the early spring as well as the fall but obviously that is very dependent on the weather. So I wouldn't say they get a lot, but they aren't uncommon.

      Never understood going around CZcams commenting nothing but negative things behind the safety of a computer screen. There's really no reason for it. Constructive criticism is always welcome but your comments on my videos have been just plain disrespectful.

      That is pretty accurate, really anything to do with water in a building. Different departments have different procedures for handling different call types.

    • @LowHudEmergency
      @LowHudEmergency  Před 3 lety

      It's primarily used to transport manpower and/or equipment to and from large incidents or events. It can also be used as a rehab unit.

    Great video, but can someone please tell me what a "mini attack" rig is used for? By the looks of it, I am assuming mostly brush responses?

    • @LowHudEmergency
      @LowHudEmergency  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks! You are correct, it is set up primarily for brush fires, but will respond to other calls such as wires down or car accidents as well. There is no "brush" designation here in Westchester County, so these types of apparatus all get the "mini attack" designation.

    • @OklahomaEmergency

      Firemedic712 you still dont need to run hot no ones life in in jeopardy.. department's where i live dont even respond to CO calls ER unless there is a illness. Down wire calls is a non ER response even unless there is visible fire

    • @LowHudEmergency
      @LowHudEmergency  Před 6 lety +3

      A water condition is a flooding condition inside a structure often caused by a burst pipe or copious rainfall. Most departments around here respond emergency mode to everything unless specifically told not to by the officer-in-charge.

      @@skateboardrider100 Things are mostly back to normal. We've been back in the "new" building for around two years now. There are still tons of odds and ends constantly being worked on, but I guess that's to be expected.
