@@EkodeckAustralia other then myself having done it manually, has anyone made optimal joist length tables that lists how long a joist should be for each and every decking board. Ie 1 board -> 50 boards including the gap. Ie I want a deck around 4.8m? What’s the optimal length of joist length - using fascia board technique. 138mm decking boards, 4.5mm T spacing 33 boards = 4702.5mm @ 4.5mm spacing. 34 boards = 4845mm @ 4.5mm spacing. I feel like this would make things a lot more transparent (in the planning phase) than a decking calculator. Takes out all the assumptions and means you can confidently cut a joist at an optimal length and avoid having to split a board. You know exactly how many boards will be required just by referencing a table. You can also check remaining distance to run mid way, and ensure your on track/ you know exactly how small your last board against the house will be. Food for thought. I’ve done a lot of significant engineered home DIY building in my time. But I’ve found this concept frustrating between all brands of decking board. And I’m not a huge fan of decking calculators that are very rigid in their design. Maybe it already exists? Just a thought.
Yes, you can purchase more C-Clips separately should you need them. How large is your deck (ie. how many boards are you purchasing?) - a lot of the time you actually have more than enough C-Clips to install your decking! Happy to help you out if need be however
@@EkodeckAustralia Thanks for the response. I contacted you directly and received a response including which Bunnings stores had them in stock.(even when your website said you were closed for Christmas - above and beyond) Thanks again.
The diagram at 1:14 might possibly be the single most useful diagram I’ve ever come across in all of my composite decking research…
Here to help mate! Plenty more info on our website, too

And we only get 12 ‘C’ clips in a fittings kit.
Do you supply individual components contained in the fittings kit?
