This is absolutely incredible. His testimony towards the end really hits home and so glad to see him back flying again!
It hurts to get the privilege of flying and then lose it due to medical reasons. Ask me how I know. I'm so grateful He got his wings back. Maybe there's still hope
Hero’s come in all shapes and sizes. A man who can experience those types highs and lows, have his identity (kick butt naval pilot) stolen from a softball and a run away horse, yet, smile and give testimony, THIS is a definition of a hero. Thank you (Jimmy) for sharing and bringing attention to men like this. Salute.
As a navy F-14 fan, nothing more enjoyable is to read or listen to real F-14 tomcat pilots and Rio's stories. I want thanks this man for serving the military to protect our freedom.
I am confused haven't we already seen this video
Yes exactly
It probably was taken down by CZcams and now it's been cleared for re-upload....
If you watched his 2 Hour Rd. trip, then yes
This guy is the real deal. I could listen to him all day. Absolute respect, Sir.
John Ramstead is an absolute hero. He was what i dreamed of at 7 years old, in 1986 87 watching Top Gun while playing with a toy diecast F14 Tomcat. Just the coolest looking fighter ever and he is an Absolute rolemodel. I wished I could have done the same. Cheers Guys 🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏
Thank you, Jimmy for making this an exclusive video. John is an amazing guy.
I could listen to this man all day. Incredible experience and stories. God bless this hero and a heart felt THANK YOU for your service to this country.
Hands Down, this is one of the best videos you ever shared; I could listen to this guy for hours. His testimony is so genuine and he is a blessing for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Dammit - I started watching this in bed, tired…. I couldn’t stop watching. Magic interview Jimmy.
Flying stories are the best!
USAF flight engineer . Love you two talking . Thanks.
Went 29 minutes without my own pulse and 21 minutes without oxygen to my brain, I understand second chances.
Your still here , that's a miracle in it's self . You are a true survivor just like Jon , you beat the odds that makes you a winner .
Jimmy's new shirt: Parachutes are for quitters!"
This has been one of the best yet. Thank you Jimmy and John. John, your faith is inspirational.
Jimmy Webb, This is without a doubt, your grandest video. All have been so enjoyable. Thanks for allowing us to ease drop on this flight conversation with your dear friend. What a treat.
GREAT video Jimmy, thank you. John is an amazing guest, and you should maybe do a video with John when your 310 is back up to flying again. Speaking of the 310, did you ever put in a new interior? The polished exterior looks amazing, inside, not so much...
This is some AWESOME stuff right here! Can NOT beat aviation coupled with military experience!
Excellent video Jimmy. Thank you.
Loved this ... great interview 👍
So many great videos! However, THIS. IS. AWESOME! Great testimony! Jimmy thank you for your humor, technical videos, and so much more!
Love how this guy can't relax for a minute...even giving orders to Jimmy.
Wonder how he mows his lawn :). Took a flight from San Fran to Portland one time
that hit a sheer that dropped the plane 3-4 thousand feet that made everyone scream
and sent food trays flying around the cabin, that was not fun. Also had a military flight out of
Anchorage that was filled past capacity, when the pilot released the break it hardly moved.
That plane used every foot of the runway.
Amazing stories and - miraculous that John survived that awful trauma.
Absolutely fascinating to listen to him. If he doesn't have a book in the writing, he should ASAP. This episode will be on my "replay" list for a long while.
Wonderful stories. Thank you for sharing them. 👏👏👏👏
Great video! Thank you for your service.
John what a nice bloke , got to say if I was a Pilot in the USN I would want him as my boss . And to fly the F-14 , probably some might say the hottest , sexist , deadliest Fighter ever know to man . That's some achievement that not many can say and so many challenges in life including life threatening injuries and his still here and humble and again what a nice guy . Hats off to you sir , from an ex-RAF Firefighter . Cool video Jimmy and thank you John

Jimmy that was incredibly brilliant love your work Bob
Love hearing these stories from naval aviators. Wanted to be one not my vision excluded me
Hopefully You still fly though ?
@@robertprice7246 would if it wasn't to expensive and I live in a rural area
@@robertbrewster1775 I get You. I went to College to study aviation business administration and got mine through there. This was mid 80s and rental on the rattle traps I learned to fly in was 40 to 60 bucks an hour. My part of Tennessee is considered rural but we have a small airport with a FBO that was and is a champion of G.A. Don't give up on it if you want it bad enough. I'm going to try again now that I've seen this Man's testimony
@robertbrewster1775 always wanted to be a Fighter Pilot when I was younger but I never had a degree as im Dyslexic and academically would never have been looked at . So I joined the RAF to become a Painter and Sprayer or that was the idea . They closed the trade on me and told me I may have to wait two years to get in so my CIO sat me down and went through a list of trades I could do . The most exciting sounding one was RAF Firefighter so I said yep ill do that , they sat me in a room to watch video's of what the job entailed . Lots of video's of Fire Trucks screaming in to crashed aircraft and Fire Fighters running in with Hose and Monitors ( foam cannons ) blasting away . Im like oh this looks exciting , it's a lovely job ill take it . I was 18 yrs old im now near 52 and still doing the same job but as a civilian . All those plane crashes lol , I have had three in 34 years . Which is a good thing as plane crashes are not what any one wants to see but when it happened that's what we did . Every job is important no matter what some might think , we all play our part in this World .
Well that was fun. Thanks for posting Jimmy, great stuff

Awesome Jimmy!
