- Everyone loves a Good Burnout.. Unfortunately they don't always go according to plan with Tyre Fires, Engine Fires, Rods Out or the dreaded Wall Hit.. Here's a compilation of the CARNAGE I've filmed over the past 12 months from events around Australia.

Here’s what I’ll say. As an American I do truly enjoy the Ridiculously Gross Displays of Power and will ALWAYS tip my hat to the Aussies when it comes to burnouts. These guys build 3000+HP engines for the sole purpose of doing burnouts. Aussie Rules!!!

I recently heard that in competition if you catch fire your're DQ'd. Do they get pissed at the drivers that keep going, shooting flames all over? Or is it like "Well you're DQ'd so you might as well have fun..."?

Naru Nanigoto most of the time it's unburnt fuel that gets ignited at the end of the exhaust pipe, which causes the rubber stuck under the car to catch fire

235/45/R17's are the go for most. It's the most common size tyre now. The smaller cars use smaller and some of the big fellas will shred bigger tyres.

I love these Australian burnouts. But when they catch on fire in the rear wheelwells, it must cost a lot of money repairing rear quarters. They are a good crazy down under.

So farmtruck went to a burnout contest and screwed up the truck twice in one day?maybe that's why I don't see them running it anymore. Couldn't color match the paint, so they stopped driving it til it could be matched. Wish I could have seen a car blow up or burn to the ground,but I'm in an odd mood today.
Tires don't just catch fire that quick. They must have fuel injectors throwing onto the tires or they soak the wheels in something flammable LMAO 🤣😂

Some is friction (the same reason they smoke), some is friction and aiming the exhaust at the tyres for more heat, plus flames from the fuel when they let off the accelerator...
Tread speed is 200mph = massive heat, that ignites tyre vapors.
