These two guys are incredible singers, and their voices blend together so beautifully. We discuss who we think think sings it better, so I'm curious to hear what you guys think. James Bay is good but Lewis Capaldi is on another level. Lewis sings it better for sure!
I’m not sure James or Lewis would appreciate this type of comparison critique. It’s lovely to see an experienced artist collaborate with a young new artist. Not a credible review in my opinion, comments were not based on their talent, just nasty…Lloyd specifically😊
Ali said I should listen to more Lewis Capaldi which I have done. I had not really heard much of his music before and I don't think this collaboration shows how truly talented he is.
Not better. Different. Art's not a competition imho.
Bay has been playing big shows for a decade longer than Capaldi here, & you can tell Capaldi's not getting what he needs to his in-ears when he's trying the lower harmonies under Bay, which is a shame. Overall tho, they're both top-tier singer-songwriters. Bay is more nuanced, doesn't have so much power but is super tasteful in what he does with his dynamics. Capaldi is undeniable, with all the power & rasp.... I bet front of house guys have their fingers crossed that he remembers to get that mic at least a foot away from his face when he lets rip or they'll be having a clipping nightmare! LOL
Nice to see them both showing respect for each other, Bay did great with guitar work to mash the two songs together, & lucky crowd, to catch a mash-up of two *big* singalong anthems like this. :)
Not better, your opinion Lloyd is that you don’t like Lewis , it’s very obvious , get over yourself!!!! They are both great but completely different. But no one sings Lewis’s songs better than Lewis; my opinion!!
I have since listened to more of Lewis Capaldi and I must say I have discovered how truly talented he is. He definitely wasn't at his best in this collaboration IMO.
