Thanks, that's why engaging a spring is a nightmare in tight places. I didn't assemble in the right order. You have helped a man whose 1st choice adjustment tool = a HAMMER. There's so much to learn about the right way to do things. Thanks again. PS, don't worry, I only work on my own horns.
Thank you very much for the video. I have completely restored my daughters clarinet that she has used for the past 8 years or so. She is now in the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band and will have this one back on the field in a couple of weeks. Very good thorough instruction. Thanks
I cannot thank you enough. God bless you from Italy Rome Ostia Lido
Great video. I completely dissasembled and reassembled a 1972 Bundy 577 for my granddaughter. Cleaned every thing inside and out, metal polished the keys, replaced the pads and cork. Like a brand new clarinet now and sounds great. Would have been a lot harder to do without your video. Thank you !!!!
Mr RTC Canvas, thank you for this no-nonsense demonstration.
Thanks for this video. Using this and a pad replacement video, I was able to replace a pad on the clarinet I got my daughter from Goodwill. Yeah for a now working clarinet.
Could you give me the link of the pad replacement video. Thanks in advance
@@smokingjazz5067 I don't remember which one was the best, but these are the three in my watch history:

Thanks so much for this detailed video. I just completed my 4th overhaul by following your instructions. Not sure if I missed it, but I always clean all the rods/pivot screws and use a very fine synthetic oil on them when assembling the clarinet. Cheers!
Hi there! Just wanted to say thank you so much for this video! I bought a metal clarinet to restore, and I know nothing about clarinets, so this was immensely helpful!!!
@Freak array I got stuck when a pin wouldn't come out. I have to drill it out or something, and got sidetracked. But I definitely want to return to the project sometime.
@Freak array thank you, new friend!!! good luck on your project too! come back here and let me know how it turns out!!! :D !!! (I wish youtube had a messaging function!)
It is unprofessional to bleed on your instrument, dude I love how you deliver your jokes
I followed your steps and just padded a Noblet metal clarinet with black roo pads. Sounds great. Thank you so much for making this video for us!
Didactic and subtly funny presentation ! Thanks for this rigorous protocol !
Fantastic video. Just taken a clarinet apart and reassembled. Very satisfying. Use a decent screwdriver though.
Amazing video!! And easy to follow! Thanks 👍
Excellent video!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge of this process. Immensely helpful.
Thanks! Figured it was about time to clean the body of my clarinet.
This was a life saver!! Thank you for your time.
This has kept me alive
Excellent instructional video! It would be great if you did a video on oboes. Players would be indebted to you.
thanks, great info. figured out where one of the needle springs should be hooked
What a superb video. Thank you so much for teaching me loads.
Excellence work. It gives a concentration to the work phenomenon. Thanks
This would be super cool to also do on a Yamaha Low C Bass (Tenor) Clarinet cause while it plays like a Clarinet (you have to turn your hands vertically cause they're curved to make it more compact) there's some interesting mechanisms.
Thank you for making this video. It was very helpful!
What a treasure of information!
Hi my master. you are very very good to lerne .thank you again.and hope to sea you.
Thank you very much for the video
Does anyone know what screwdriver he uses? I looked up allied screwdriver#4 and I don’t find one like his
thank you.
One of my top three trill keys broke off because I dropped it. Is there anyway to fix it?
ok now I want to take my clarinet apart but it's almost midnight
update lads: I took it apart at not midnight
and it took 6 months lool
Hmmm, I think I can do my own clarinet restoration now!
Tanks man!
Replacing a pad on the b key on the lower joint and screwed something up. I think the springs were not correct. The low e/b key is stuck closed
THANK YOU!!!!
do the hinge rods need oil or anything?
How do you get really tight screws out? I am having trouble with the lower joint keys.
Maybe try using some key oil if you're still having this problem, work the key for a bit to get the oil in there. I wouldn't try and force it tho
14:50 lower joint
I need to do this so I can clean my keys but I'm scared cause its provided by my school
What if the screw does not want to unscrew? It is very stiff.
Lionel Paz apply some pressure on the screw using the screwdriver for a period time then slowly turn the screwdriver, it should come off by doing that.
You sound like Sam the Cooking Guy
