When I was romancing Gale, I noticed he suddenly got flustered around my barbarian after Lae'zel interrogated the tielfing. I literally went "Astarion, no! Don't make me break your heart. Wait for my bard!"
Letting him open it is a +10 approval and usually puts him in the threshold for liking you at this point in the game. But I wouldnt think this is the moment he finds out he loves you. This is the moment he knows you are manipulatable and wont shun him for being a vampire.
I've laughed so hard when it turned out that the thing that made Astarion decide my Tav was likeable enough to propose a night of passion was... my sorc bard 'BAAAA'-ing at redcaps that pretended to be sheep. us: "in the middle of a putrid bog, surrounded by bloodthirsty fey creatures" Astarion: DARLING...! I was a bit sad that I didn't get that in my 2nd, more complete playthrough... that got rectified when it turned out that romance got triggered by my Tav screaming dramatically during the S&M session with Abdirak, which I only did for the buff xD
Hahaaa, I got the proposition right after this little favor, too. x'D Still hear that line of his from another scene later on: "... That's what gets you going." as an unofficial response to that choice of timing. Glorious.

did anyone speak up?? sometimes if Shadowheart is too close, she says "don't open it" or "better leave it alone" or something like that, so if I want to get this scene with Astarion, I usually leave her and bae'zel far away, (you could put them on the other side of the stone wall in Blighted Village) but my other two party members were dead so Astarion was the only one there with Tav
@@ripple-effect-mlp in game, you can have everyone in your party, but not grouped together! you can put Shadowheart and whoever else you don't want to speak up in the same group, then have them walk behind the stone wall in Blighted Village, (this should be far enough away so that only Astarion gets the dialogue spot, but close enough that you can easily move them in to join the battle) and then with your character and Astarion, open the door, I hope this helps ❤️
He brought up this convo in my play through after letting him kill Gur while Wyll and Karlach were just standing there in the background. It was mildy hilarious having this conversation with two people just standing there like: 😐😐 😂
For me it happened right after we attacked and killed Gandrel. I want to say it was just bonding in the field of battle and being stirred by bloodlust, but in reality it was more like me turning to Astarion like "sooo what the fuck Cazador is sending goons after you?" and he was like "DARLING I was just thinking about you." Like brother I'm glad you want to bang but I think there's more important things to talk about right now??? The way the conversations queued in priority was just funny to me
hi! this dialogue with the bugbear and ogre are barbarian class specific! if you play as a barbarian, you should be able to get the dialogue with them :)

I had Astarion in my party, too, and Shadowheart was the one who spoke up. I had to keep her with me because she was the Cleric, the primary healer.
