A game with only one very simple objective that Simon completely fails to achieve for 6:30! 6 and a half entire minutes. A man can only stare in wonder at such magnificence.

An asset flip isn't using publicly available assets in a game, it's taking assets from a previous game and re-using them in another title. They
re usually done by small developers, like the guy that made Grand Emprise (which is an asset flip of his previous game Karagon). They're 100% a bad thing, because they take almost no work, just the same game with small surface changes and they're usually a cash grab and end up as abandonware.
Now I am invested in Simon's shirt saga... I need to know if he finds that shirt and buys it!

The negative connotation with asset flips is that some people were taking ready-made demo levels and then selling them on as actual games with little to no changes. Another variation is when someone just throws some store-bought assets into a level and calls it a game. Asset flips are usually zero-effort garbage.

On the "asset flipping" conversation, a more apt analogy would be when Transformers used The Island's scene CGI crash. That felt a bit cheap, but was also used in a creative way, much like with this game [but this was also an indie dev vs those 2 movies being directed/produced by Michael Bay]. Sure someone re-using a real chair or a set can be construed as "cheap", but there's a real difference between physical and digital goods. Physical goods will take time each time to make, while digital stuff just takes however long it would take to just copy the files.
Asset flipping digital goods is only a problem when they don't properly license it
Some times telling someone to Alt f4 is a troll sometimes it isn't, Like in this case Anthony meant it as a troll but It actually fixed the issue he was having with the game, All it is, is telling someone to turn it off then turn it back on again, Like the amount of things that fixes in life is amazing.

Hot coffee is good on a hot day because it regulates your temperature. As refreshing as cold liquid is, it makes your internals cold and your outside hot, or something like that. Your body is not constantly cooling and warming and overworking itself. That's what was explained to me when I used to do roof maintenance with another guy who would chug hot coffee on hot days. I don't know if it's true or not though.

An asset flip is not a game with only bought assets; the focus is on "flip", not on "asset". It's an empty game containing nothing but bought assets. If there is added value, like a story or compelling gameplay, it's not an asset flip, no matter the assets.
