    That thing needs a heavy duty skid plate.
    On my 03 TDI I bought one called a Panzer, on my 06, I made one from a highway sign 😉👍

      Im always afraid of getting gravel and pebbles in between the skid plate and pan and poking through the pan that way.

      to be honest i've never tried on the brm. they look similar but that doesn't always mean its the same.

    Josh, thanks for the video. On the hybrid pan, how do I seal the lower black steel portion and what are torque specs for that piece?

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  Před rokem

      It came pre-sealed, I just threw a socket on and made sure they were tight, not sure of the actual spec. It just had a gasket on it.

    What turbo line did you use the one I have isn’t in the right angle

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  Před 11 měsíci

      This is for TDI (oil return into the block) and 2L non turbo. If installing into a 1.8T i believe theres an adapter or a different drain

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes but they say it may need a little trimming to clear the ac compressor

      @@bencrosbie yeah most other areas had them, our cast pans had the cut out moulded in but none actually came with them for some reason.
