A great promo here for the forthcoming book of all things by the producer and director of many tv series' and made for tv films and documentaries ..the very talented, MR Irwin Allen... A book that is to come some time in July and in a very limited edition of 1000 copies.
I am intent on preordring a copy before too long. My only wish is that cost for the postage for all fans outside of the US was a bit more reasonable than the 64 USD. I do understand that the book is hard cover edition only and is 600 pages in content and so it would be and does look quite heavy.
However if I might respectfully add.. that the US fans are paying $16 to 24 USD at most for each copy of the book that they acquire, while the rest of the fans internationally are paying up to 4 times more for the shipping costs for each copy they desire
Sadly, for some die hard fans this is and will be an obstacle for them in obtaining a copy of the marvels that
are beautifully showcased in this definitive book of Mr Allens most comprehensive and exhaustive body of work .These are indeed the works of a creative genius and of a man, who, in the entertainment industry of an classic era gone by, often far excelled at what he did and who also often greatly exceeded the talents of his peers at that time.
