Yea I agree I kept saying we should’ve saw more of Rhaenyra & Ser Harwin & Daemon & Laena & I wish we saw Heleana claim Dreamfyre & Sunfyre close up. I think they should’ve ended the season with Viserys’s death & Aegon being crowned
They are just hypocrites, complaining about changes made from fire and blood and AWOIAF to the show. But like S1-4 of GOT deviated from the first 3 asoiaf books in pretty big ways and literally no one cared. So far it's been a really good show and moments like "A Targaryen must always be on the throne" adds so much to the book lore.
It's good that people are more critical than during most of GoT but at at some point the whining starts getting tiresome. Its a really good show with some flaws and quite a few people can't deal with the fact that not everything has to be perfect.
We should all remember that Season 1 of Game of Thrones was somewhat slow as well. Most fans agree that the best seasons are somewhere after Season 1 and before Season 6 (feel free to dissent). I think it's perfectly fair for the first season to seem a bit "slow", because it needs to establish the characters and the world. However I will gladly eat my words if Season 2 of HOTD turns out to be bad (which I doubt).
I would agree with this. The first season is usually to introduce *all* of the characters and even more so with a massive cast as GoT. Smaller shows (in cast size) like Friends, where there are 6 main and a lot of random support it's easier to get the pace going. Also drama vs comedy, though that's a minor detail. In GoT, characters that gets added along the way in later seasons are easier to introduce as they come in fewer numbers, and also dependent on their importance to the story. And if you think about it, season 1 of GoT picks up a little speed in the last 2 - 3 episodes, when a lot of things go down. Personally I feel that GoT was a great series from season 1 up to mid 6, and then it went south real fast, especially if you have read the fan-fiction script for season 8. It's not perfect, though lightyears ahead of whatever the duck those two morons conjured.
Show is “canon” because we’re ‘watching how things actually happen,’ while the book is multiple, unreliable second- and third-hand accounts from people who have reason to portray events in a way to make themselves look better OR who weren’t there when things happened.
No, we're not actually watching what it really happened. There are several things that the show came up with, that aren't historical facts (whether the sources are accurate or not, some things in FB are true). Like Rhaenyra's age for example she was 8 when she was named heir not 14. Or Alicent's age she was 18 when she married Viserys not 14, and Viserys was 28 not in his early 40's/late 30's, like in the show. Or the fact that Viserys was healthy all throughout his reign, he only got sick during his last years. Or Rhaenys killing hundreds of innocents in the Dragon Pit during Aegon coronation, that never happened. Or the war for the stepstones that actually lasted nine years instead of three like the show portrayed. My point is that the show isn't more accurate either.
Apparently the books got the color of the Sea Snake and his family wrong......🤔😳 Tokenism in modern media literally and us being told its not.....Because we live in the age of Up is Down and Down is up. As an avid history buff one thing I know is that politically correct entertainment doesn't usually age well. And some episodes feel like a soft core p0rn0 disguised as a tv show.
Targaryens and Velaryons were closely related, so it didn't make any sense them to be black, unless Targaryens were black as well. Stupidity has no limits, as they say. From all the crap they have produced from Hollywood and elsewhere it was still pretty good in my opinion.
@@angleofshadow9818 you are crying over very irrelevant details, one was made black to make it easier to tell them apart because both have distinctive hair colour. Stop crying and grow up
@@yodasmomisondrugs7959You can simply chose not to watch since black people trigger you so much. Not everyone read the book, it's much easier to tell the the groups apart with the casting choices. Watching the show I got so confused with the valeryons and valayrians name, talk less the 2 groups looking the same

The Sea snake! Isn't the real character!! They have already messed up ' the whole season is rubbing!! As there Dragon riders but hardly use them! If I had a big Dragon I would just burn everything to the ground and start again! ' The Targaryens in this series are too Weak! It's embarrassing too watch

It’s taking too long. I’ve moved on.
This is the most overrated boring show I've ever saw. All drama and nothing actually happening
In season 2 war start so will be many battles
whoa it’s almost as if they’re building tension and stakes instead of starting out at breakneck speed and nonsensical spectacle
if you're looking for stupid action sequences and bad story telling just go watch an MCU film or a fast and furious film LMAO

Yeah, they tried that in Dorne, didn't really end up well
