She has always been ahead if time, love her answer when the guy asks her where's the place she feels at home: the internet, 13 years ago internet was not that great as it is today.
As a Björk fan for 20 years, I watched a lot of interviews and this one is one of the best because there's a balance: this German guy gets suddenly shy and (it's obvious as she gets older that) the more arrogant the interviewers are, the less she opens herself.
There are touching moments of intimacy here. Espacially when he asks about Björk's son. Her answer made me laugh too!
She doesn't need to be too technical while explaining her music because it would "burst the bubble, break the charm" :-P
dafuq ? the interviewer is awesum :( one of the few interviews with björk where she isnt pissed because of some waterhead sitting there and reading down all the questions...they actually speak with each other here ! Markus !
So open minded towards technology, like a true artist would be imo. Also I love how she doesn't repeat celebrity cliches like the "fake friends" thing. There are lots of good hearted people in the industry.
The "All is full of love," is probably my all time favourite music video.❤
She is just so damn adorable and wise and charming and funny and silly and intelligent, ugh! I would love to have just ONE conversation with her, about ANYTHING at all lol.

Bjork was lovely, very kind and really funny (i love moment 20:05, she touched his leg, im jealous :/ hahaha) i think she felt confortable with the guy.
The interviewer is introvert just like Bjork is. As an interviewer he's terrible (if he's always like this), but at the same time he seems real. Great conversation

He's struggling to make the connections she offers. Even though Bjork's approach to music is ultra simple with no hidden meanings, he still tries to find a clever undercurrent. There is none.
Hers always straight forward she's not understand the importance of timeliness,.... flirt, ppl treatment might or might not help her age well. We don't care, still she has FANS!

lol where did she say that? She's here all the time, i just saw her play Berlin last year.
@@Marc-zi5cq She said that in a video when she was still pretty young and hadn’t toured that much yet. I’m sure she changed her mind once she actually visited Germany. :)
@@gherat ok predudice ;) She's so Berlin herself, i'm sure she enjoys the liberal, artistic city that it is. It's hard to find people who dont like Hamburg either, i just saw a video of her performing in Berlin from 1994 at looking like she had a blast so must be a loooong time ago.
@@Marc-zi5cq the video was really old, if I come across it I’ll post it here! No true artist can hate Germany. I personally love Germany and it has been an inspiration to many many artists. I got friends in Berlin and Hamburg and I love the nature too. It was probably before Björk ever visited Germany and because of indeed prejudice!
@@gheratidk if this is true, because Björk toured in the 80s with the Sugarcubes in Germany as preact for Einstürzende Neubauten. She said she loved it there.

Björk fans say that about every single interviewer though. He works for MTV, he's informed about her work, he treats her with respect, he switches perfectly from German to English and gives her 30 mins to explain her art and music without looking for trash. Don't know what people expect.
@@Marc-zi5cq That´s completely true! I am a huge Fan of Björk since I was 12! I love everything from her! But I don´t always like her fans!
what happens in this video if i remember serves me correctly is that the guy thinks he's interviewing madonna or kylie or someone, when actually he's interviewing an artist.
she gets increasingly annoyed at the pap questions until she takes pity on him. he gets more and more dejected at how the interview is progressing until la gudmundsdottir realises he's an idiot, a nice idiot; and she's being how she normally is with cunt interviewers until she realises he's not a cunt, just an idiot, quite a nice idiot, and then she takes pity on him and begins to treat him as what he comes across as, a child. and he responds really nicely to it.
and all of a sudden it's a nice interview. but only cause she's got a heart the size of a house.
reckon i've only seen one good interview with her, and that's the vespertine era with verity sharpe. even the charlie rose one had it's problems compared to it.
wonder what she's like interviewed in icelandic by an equal?
If I was the interviewer, I would have felt so shocked being by her side, that I could not say a word. But, well, someone as shy as me, should not even try to be an interviewer.

yet she actually genuinely opens up more than usual here since she is relaxed with him and actually talking like she is with someone she is meeting over coffee in a dinner. He's just not loud and dominating like some other interviewers are
