It was an attempt to illustrate what it would be like to change the narrative and "choose the environment, which is just as important as the story in the middle.". but damn I wonder what she said!!
she's excited of everything, excited of the world and of being human. She embraces every possibility that "being" gives to her. Feel the water in yourself, eat bread, breath clean, dance, sleep, exercise. Learn to live like this and you will never be bored.
No había visto esta entrevista. Es maravilloso como hace ejemplos para hacerse y hacernos entender su mensaje. BJÖRK HA SIDO, es, y será una artista en una constante búsqueda. Admiro su arte y su inteligencia.
Björk. I think we all know that she's not human. She is the forces of nature made flesh and blood and bone to live the human experience. That's why we all fall in love with her instantly.
Not all humans have lost innocence, even aged more than three. Most humans are just trying to find their way in this chaos, hurt and wounded, but they'll try anyways. That's why Björk means there, I guess. We are so small, out of the immensity. Just bugs. "Cute little humans trying to survive", I most agree with her.
This has to be the best, smartest Bjork interview. She is so correct in her examination of technology and music. My own practice (and that of many others) is exactly in accord with her philosophy.
No, I don't think you are. My impression is that 1997 was not a very happy year for Björk. It's the same in other appreances. I saw her in concert that year too and the performance was great, as it usually is, but not happy. I remember feeling relieved when she seemed to be in better spirits in 1998. :)
Oh thank you for your reply. Yeah, I noticed the same. Inbetween I read that bad things had happened in 1996 and 97. She seems so close in this interview ... You were lucky to see her live ... Was it on the Homogenic Tour, then? Happens to be my favourite ... strings ... and Anchor Song in Icelandic :)
I love this interview, except for the fact Björk looks sad in it. 16:07, watch that smile fading out of her face. This happens several times up there. I noticed it immediately, maybe i'm wrong??

awesome. it's a pity though about insulting Glass on TV, but maybe it could be given an excuse for her not being an english speaker... (even if you are right, insulting a person, especially publicly, no good).
I am black person , listen to the sentence . Listen to the context , she’s fine and she’s telling the truth . She hasn’t created our reality she’s merely stating what she sees

The thing you Americans don’t know, it’s even today for us foreigners who are learning or already have English as a second language, that’s not something we learn in school. It takes experience. Also as a Brazilian person myself bc black culture is so deep in us, the concept of a “forbidden word” just sounded ridiculous, bc we’re thought to love our language and there isn’t something such as a word that must not be said except if ur from an specific group. We just consume hip hop and rap and r&b since always, and we are a mixed country so it takes a while to understand why we shouldn’t sing these word along. You could be white and have a black parent, or an indigenous parent or an Asian parent. Or have all of these in your family. American Karens would go crazy here. And then I thought - like many other do - that you just can’t say it in front of Americans bc they’re get offended. Until we find out the reason why not use this word and the true historical meaning it takes a while. Also bc the way we view race is different here. Some people find out in the worst ways possible. People just don’t teach us and don’t give us full information about it.

such a beautiful woman. not much pop 'artists' now have such vision and intelligence.
16:34 I feel the exact same way. Sometimes I can't explain things, and I just keep it bottled up in my head.
This was glorious. Unrestrained expression. Period.
Queen Bjork is so BEAUTIFUL! GORGEOUS!!!
11:33 gamer moment
I just love everything about this woman, especially her mind.
why mute her when she is discussing narrative and environment? it was much more interesting content than the clips.
I was wondering if that was intentional or not

Every time she gets through talking, she looks down.
