  • To make the series, shark expert Steve Backshall went into their world. Without breathing apparatus.
    Freediving among sharks meant Steve could get closer than ever before. Capturing sequences that would not be possible with conventional filming.
    Freediving also led to an unexpected outcome, where Steve was fronted with a difficult decision and felt forced to take incredible action.
    Shark with Steve Backshall available now on Sky Nature.
    This video was created in collaboration with TRUE TO NATURE Limited.

    I haven't concentrated so easily in a while watching this beautiful footage. One planet, and it doesn't, doesn't doesn't belong to just us, detach from the mainstream and plug into the livestream, earth is beautiful, better than the screen your reading this on.

      Only when provoked or when they mistake you for a seal. Sharks aren’t interested in humans. Shark attacks are very rare

    • @YodaOnABender
      @YodaOnABender Před 2 lety

      Actually they aren’t, there’s an incredibly low number of shark attacks in ratio to shark encounters per year. The only times they attack is if provoked or if they see your silhouette which can look like a seal to them, they actually don’t like the taste of our flesh bc of our diet
