  • In the Eastern Pacific lies Cocos - the island of the sharks. While filming for Shark with Steve Backshall, the team battled weather, kit failure and stormy seas to document the shivers of hammerheads that gather here THANKS to SKY TV and SKY NATURE for the use of this footage

I watched this guy on Cable TV, and almost every time he dived, he would be screaming through the microphone in his diving helmet. I just don't believe that kind of volume is necessary. Great show, good host. But damn, it's like yelling in my ear.

I’m sorry, but if you were in his position swimming amongst some of the most specialised apex predators, who’s behaviour can switch in the blink of an eye you’re gonna talking calmly into the microphone? Which I can also imagine isn’t going to super super high quality compared to microphones above ground and also fairly close to the mouth it’s gonna be loud.

@@LBag_ it's okay, you do not need to be sorry. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. :)
All reasonable points. I don't think I could do any better, and the microphone quality is probably not the best. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy his programming. Steve is a very skilled diver and a talented educator. But don't you think that he is playing it up for the camera, even just a little bit? I just found it to be a little distracting. THEN AGAIN, anyone in that situation would want and need to be heard over the radio, in case of an accident or attack.

Shark with Steve Bachshall was the most underwhelming shark docu I've ever seen. Should have been renamed 'climate xhange propaganda with Steve Bachshall....... featuring a couple of sharks.
