- We bring our RV's to dry camp on Crystal Beach,TX for Thanksgiving! Taking the ferry over from Galveston, TX after leaving Jamaica Beach RV Park, we show you how much fun it is to boondock on the beach. Living off of our fresh tanks, batteries and generators, we were successfully able to create a memorable Thanksgiving feast for our family and friends.

Great video !!!!! We rent a couple of times /year and back our Turbo Rzr up to the shore and the best part is placing my lawn chair in 3 inches of surf with my Wife, popping a top and watching the ships go by and the sun set ..... just so peaceful !!!!!! Praise G#d !!!!

Thank you! We really love it. Have been to that beach twice now with an RV. Some ferries will not allow an RV. We always try to call ahead. The Ferry in Galveston is pretty big. We were on one in Vermont and it was super tight. I’m talking inches on either side of the camper. 😅 Thanks for watching and sharing with us!

You can roll with us anytime! In our group there are many different spiritual beliefs, including atheists. Everyone is mature enough to have love and respect for each other no matter their beliefs. If you truly love people, you can’t love them in slices.

I loved how you thanked God for all His blessings! Why did you go in November? Was 95 gallons enough? Our family goes to the local lake with 4 RV’s. We may have to try Crystal Beach! Thanks for an awesome video!
Thank you so much! We wanted to keep it real and show the emotion of the dinner. We went in November mostly because the kids were out of school then so we could plan a longer trip. We lasted 4 days on 95 gallons with a family of 4. Left the beach with 1/3 of a tank and we were not skimping on using the water. Figure we could make it a week if we practices good water management. Would like to test that! Thanks for sharing with us!

Thank you so much! This was our 2nd time camping at that beach and the tide has only come to about the halfway point. Still have about 50 feet of dry sand in front of the RV. If you drive further east on the beach, however, the beach does narrow considerably and may be a little sketchy during high tide.

I was on the Galveston ferry in our RV today, just about the same time you were posting this
How funny is that! What are the odds? 🤣 The ferry in Galveston is surprisingly not hard to navigate with an RV. We took the RV on a ferry in Vermont and it was ridiculously tight.😂 Where are you headed?

Yall must have been all the way down by mexican beach, crystall beach gets good at barrel 68 and up
We were on the west end of the Bolivar peninsula. Is there a nicer section to go see? We were told the further east you go the beach narrows and there are houses close by but I can’t say for sure because we didn’t go up that far to go see for ourselves.

How did your powerhorse generator do?
It performed great! So impressed with it. We not only we’re running our camper with it but we also plugged in an extension cord to another camper to keep their converter running to charge their batteries. Very happy with it!
Is there a lot of ppl around Thanksgiving camping on the beach? We are thinkn about taken a trip down that way about that time.
Oh you will enjoy it so much. Still one of our all time favorite trips! No, the beach is not crowded at all. It’s actually a great time to go. Short sleeves during the day and a little chilly at night so you can open you windows and not have to run the AC. We could see an RV on either side of us but they were about 100 yards away in either direction. I believe in the description of the video I left the gps coordinates to the beach entrance we used if that helps you. Let us know if you decide to go and what your experience was!

I would like to know where you camp on Crystal Beach. We are at Jamaica Beach RV Resort now. We drove up to look at Crystal Beach to look and scope it out for another trip. It is a long beach and there are a number of spots that look promising. Any help would be much appropriated.
Happy to help. If you click on the description part of the video I added a google map link to the exact beach entrance we used. To my understanding this is one of the widest parts of the beach and it’s away from the the private houses. Hope this helps.

This is probably a dumb question. Do y’all live in your RV all year long? I ask because my wife and I are contemplating in selling our home and doing the RV life
Hi Armando! We do not live in our RV’s. We all have houses. We would like to live full time in the RV some time in the future but right now it’s not an option. However, one of the reasons we started our channel is to help show that you can still go out and have adventures in your RV even if you’re part time.
What does RCRV mean? Is this an open group tp join or are y'all all from the same state?
RCRV stands for Road-tripping Convoy RV. We started our channel to show how much fun you can have part time RVing specifically in a group. We are a group of family and friends who go on adventures together. We sometimes have new friends join us on a road trip who want to experience one of our adventures but we are not a “company” that books trips. We’re just some crazy Latinos who started a CZcams channel to show our love for travel and adventure. Thanks for watching!
