    Great info by the coach, nailed it on the head. Maybe need to let him talk more next time with less distraction

    100% agree. In fact, I would say coaches can and often due have more influence in child’s lives (good & bad) than teachers.

      Agreed I remember in detail a handful of coaches. I don’t remember any teachers from school.

    Agree as the kids age, systems (or habits) become more and more important but I often see coaches come pee wee no longer work on skills and that’s dangerous for development. No one was ever drafted because how well they know a system. #97 isn’t the best player in the world because he can execute a breakout, he is the best player because his skill level is elite, elite. The basics/fundamentals should ALWAYS be part of development of a hockey player
