- Yes, the New Orleans Saint should absolutely check in on a possible trade for San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk. Even if it may be an unlikely deal, New Orleans should be all-in on at least gathering information on a potential big time boost for Klint Kubiak's offense and a perfect complement to Chris Olave.

I would prefer the Saints take care of the Kamara situation and the tight-end situation before venturing out and signing the first shiny object that becomes available.

Have you ever considered that DC did not follow his progressions last season ... have you ever considered the DC was benched as a Raider because he always did tings HIS way and not teh way it was suppose to done in practice. Have you ever considered that Drew Brees, Chase Daniels was right and DC was wrong with his reads when running the Saints offense after all Brees ran it for 15 years.
@misterwallace3479 Olave first 2 seasons in the league were notably better than Aiyuk. Brandon has been in better offenses. It’s not so clear cut. Aiyuk is going into his 5th season. Let Olave cook

What are we gonna do, Ross? Trade a 2nd or 3rd for him and pay him as much as we are paying our QB? I know management can move money around to make it work, but why? Chris Olave is going to have to be extended soon. Can’t pay them both WR1 money. I don’t think it’s a good idea.
Starting OT or a true nose would be more of a need. I like Boyd because he is the closest thing to Roach. But an experienced true nose would give us a huge help plugging the middle. I think the loss of Roach is as much or more significant than the loss of Hurst or Peat.

@@1youngkash I was being sarcastic, Saints chose to spend 150 mil on the 22nd ranked once benched QB but AK is the one who has issues? The line play was bad because when the QB is suppose to be throwing a 10 yard out he's looking for a 20 yard clear-out which means he has to hold the ball longer and put the OL at a disadvantage. When the D knows its his MO the OL will look bad.
The Saints need to develop the next Aiyuk. Cap issues aside, who in the building already steps up into that role? Is the upgrade really worth that much investment?

Brandon Aiyuk is a solid player, and of course we would love to have him. It just isn't a realistic move, and ultimately I think it just takes away targets from Rashid Shaheed in the end. If this offense manages to get him the ball in space we should be just fine without Aiyuk.

Would be a dream trade... It would be a race car offense it would be insane.
Kubiak offense is a run heavy offense, all the QB has to do is manage the ball and let the playmakers make plays. In other word DC is not suppose take it upon himself to win games like he did in 2023 when all he had to do is run the play given. The real issue all QBs has the same playbook at the same time so no one has an advantage. If DC can't run the plays as he should there are QBs on the roster who will.

@cartelbeaux7040 AK is asking for a contract. All BA is asking for are targets. I think the Saints would rather provide targets than a new contract to a aging running back who's production has declined.
@@moneymaud You mean QBs who are in decline, JW was injured subbed by Trevor Siemen, Book and Hill, it was AK running who help the Saints score TDs because Hill didn't throw a TD in 11 quarters. The next season, JW has a back injury ... subbed by Andy Dalton yeah another QB on the decline averaged .25 TDs in the last 5 games. DC the previous season was benched because he threw 3 ints doing HIS thing in the Raider offense. The last time DC was legit the Raider assistant coach took them to the playoffs, when he came to NOLA he didn't run the plays or he didn't know them, they simplified them for easy reads but as he's done as a Raider he wasted time looking deep first instead of following his progression which will lead to the deep passes. Yes DC was in decline as well because as hurt as Drew was ... AK averaged 80 catches a season, he was put in space to make plays. DC was forced to throw to AK when there was no other option because he became predictable looking deep first instead of hitting those intermediate passes and reading defenses, when the LB goes one way the RB will go the other way something that AK and Drew had down to a science. DC in the last 3 seasons has been decline.

DC wasn't benched due to his poor play as you might have been led to believe though. His whole final season was a hit job by Josh McDaniels. Carr thrived as play action signal caller under Gruden but JMD took all that away and only went back to it in the final two games which made Stidham look like a superstar the first start and a dud on his second start. And that was all due to the fact that defenses didn't game plan for JMD executing play action in that first start and being prepared for it in his final start.
How did the Raiders making the playoffs have nothing to do with Carr and everything to do with the assistant coach? If Bisaccia was that good to lead them to 5 wins in a row to close out the season and make the playoffs, how come he isn't a Head Coach in the league by now?
Your assessment of Carr looking to throw deep all the time is funny to me. Raiders fan complained that all Carr did was dink and dunk plays.
