Fun fact. Blake Grupe missed two FGs against Houston. A 52 yard and a 29 yard. If he does his job then when the Saints are driving in the 4th, they only need another FG to win and don't have to try to force it on 4th down when they're already at the 24 yard line and a chip shot wins it. If Foster catches the TD that hit him in the hands against Jacksonville, well. Are these really issues of "if it had clicked" or issues of "if people had executed." Carr was 33/55 for 301 yards against Jacksonville and 32/50 for 353 yards against Houston. How did Carr not execute? When you look at the Qb pay rate spiking into insane levels...the Saints got a good deal. Carr is also better than he is credited. I think he will prove that with better play calling.

What's going to make it difficult for Carr to succeed is a less impressive oline and diva attitudes. If all of that trends in a positive direction, Carr will be a MVP caliber QB. WhoDat!!!
The O Line is still one of the worst in the league, until they prove otherwise. There are 4 starters on the line who have proven exactly NOTHING in the NFL.
And what or who in the world screams "diva attitude" on that unit prior to now?
Carr is the Diva and the line ... if you played organized football especially when you are on the OL a 3 -5 yard drop back does take a QB 7 sec to throw a 5 and out when the WR is wide open. Most of those sacks were DC fault not the OL, he held the ball too long looking for deep passes on short downs when he could have thrown to open guys 2 - 3yds pass the first down. The Diva is the one who call out his receiver when he's is the one who screwed up. The Diva is the one who chose to not participate in team activities after he was benched and blamed it on his wife.

What fans seem to ignore concerning Carr is that “technically “ he lead them to a playoff team spot! Nobody mentions that they missed the playoffs by half a game. That game being against the Green Bay Packers! He got hurt in the game but left us with a 17-0 lead (which we squandered) and even then had a makable field goal attempt which was missed! And who took that playoff spot? Right, the Packer! If we didn’t fold we win the division and make the playoff! I predict all these analysts will be swallowing their tongue when they see Carr running a contemporary offense!!!
Why are the Detroit stats empty stats ? The Saints had multiple drives to complete the comeback win and Winston couldn’t get it done. What would you be saying if the Saints would’ve made the comeback and won? You don’t say Brady and the Patriots had a bunch of “empty yards” against the Falcons in the Superbowl because they won.
For Drew Brees...Over 40,000 of his career yards, about half, came in seasons where he was .500 or worse. No one DARES call those empty stats. But with how the epitaph is applied to Carr, those were empty stats.

How is hoping to luck into the next FA QB any different than hoping to luck into the daft QB? Usually the FA signing is, at same level, a known commodity against the NFL. Absolutely ZERO college QBs are certain against NFL talent. I'm not arguing for one over the other, but it's not like the draft isn't a crap shoot anyway. And if the Saints do dump Carr after 2024 or 2025, there is no reason to assume that either Haener or Rattler will given QB1 unless the team is somehow in an even worse cap situation than they are today. The Saints will either draft a better prospect or sign a FA.
If the Saints dump Carr after 2025...Brock Purdy is scheduled to be a FA.....the 49ers can't pay EVERYONE....

Hey they do it in practice without correction expect it in the game which AK was eluding too. I been there you would think veterans know better but it happens when the concentration isn't there and leadership has lost their respect. I have been in practices when we would lineup and just practice don't jump offside, Make sure our splits are correct, which WR line un the line and which should be off line, stuff we went over in training camp, hell in HS they teach you this stuff and grown A men still making the same mistakes, it about respect.
Carr got this Ross. The Rubik's Cubics offense designed by Brees and Peyton is out. It should get easier and more comfortable for Carr now.⚜️💯

People say "Empty yards" or "garbage time stats' are people who think the Falcons beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Low intelligence. Carr being 13th in passing yards is an OBJECTIVE stat. Every way people judge that or qualify that, positive or negative, is SUBJECTIVE. Some people just can't tell the difference.
And I'm really fed up with talking heads that go out of both sides of their mouths. If you're frustrated with what Carr did weeks 1-12 I look forward to your video about how Kamara did weeks 1-18. Zero 100 yards rushing games. Only 4 games where he scored at all. Only 6 games where he managed better than 4.0 yards per rush. But you want to extend the trash that ACTUALLY underperformed. The fact that Carr was still a top ten QB with a bad playcaller, a horrible washed up RB, a weak/questionable WR group, and one of the worst lines in the league is actually pretty spectacular. Or do we really have to listen to people try to pretend that Carmichael was good, Kamara was good, Peat, Hurst, and Ruiz were good....

It's extremely hard to judge a QB when his offensive line is shit, his receiving corps are average at best, and he doesn't have a running game good enough to keep the defense honest. All of the great QB's In the NFL had all 3. Carr doesn't have any of them. That truly sucks arse.

Your information about making Carr a post June 1 cut in 2025 is misleading and doesn't provide the full information
The Saints would eat $21,458,000 in dead cap in 2025, which you mentioned
The Saints would gain $30,000,000 in savings, which you mentioned.
The Saints would eat $28,674,000 in dead cap in 2026, which you completely left out.
Moving Carr from a PRE June 1st to a POST June 1st doesn't change that his dead cap hit is $50,132,000 dollars. It just changes if it all hits in 2025 or if it is split between 2025 and 2026.
Carr has NOT been fully paid his guaranteed signing bonus. It is prorated and the Saints will be paying Carr $5.700.000 of that signing bonus every year through 2027. Derek Carrs other guarantees have been prorated through the restructure and the Saints will be paying him $5,758,000 every year through 2028, no matter what. That's literally the entire point and purpose of the restructure.
Suddenly it's not as attractive, and you said the Saints would come out on top which is clearly not true. Your math is just plain wrong and there is no sugar coating it. Your the best Saints commentator, but you're flat out wrong on the salary cap issue this time.
