Hello I love your review what I hope to see if you will do is maybe compare Prisma vs Caran De Ache skin tones. I checked and to buy open stock Caran would be 15 pencils in US would be about 70.00 US dollars . I have the luminance pencils but they are so expensive in this country and some of us need a great deal of practice! Thanks Claire if u can do this. The chart she did on the back did not compare these two 😊
@valerie, I'm not sure if Claire will do a full Lumi comparison chart (which would be lovely) but I will see which Prismas best match the Lumi's I used and add them to my purchaser extra page which is accessible with the code. You are the second to request this. I can tell you that for some of these colors there won't be an exact match. I wish there were!

I have to admit I’d not heard of her first book until I started shopping for resource guides and how to’s so now I’ve seen your excellent flip through of the second book, I will be buying both! So glad I saw your review. There are only a couple of reviews on Amazon and two of them are very low. The poor reviews are unfair and cite "expensive supplies, using materials other than colored pencils and not showing basic skills".
carmen l really wish you could answer stupid reviews. Like say, show me where, ANYWHERE, it says this is a book for beginners? So you left a bad review because you can’t read? Way to screw the author/illustrator of the book. My favorite are the reviews on grayscale coloring books where people are like it’s all dark and already colored in there’s nothing left for me to color.

Hello in response to JZimmermann I am asking and interested in the comparison of the SKIN TONE colors only for Prisma vs Caran Luminance pencils and if we can get just some of those 15 Caran Lumis skin tone with the Prismas it be so helpful. Thank you for responding as I have both these books and love them!

The chart you have given on your web site for prisma to poly conversion, this is really thoughtful of you. I think the book looks very exciting with lots of thought by the author. Great review Claire as always. I have the first book too, and will be putting this on my wish list (can’t afford right now as I have just bought a new camera).
I was very annoyed to see the poor comments on Amazon U.K. that are completely unfounded by a couple of reviewers. Jennifer’s books to me are aimed at mainly serious colourists, but are still easy enough for beginners too. I will be replying to these comments later today without a doubt to put them right 😝. Looking forward to book 3 too ;-(

@@moderncoloring-jenniferzim6122 I hope you have a better day tomorrow. Some of us do appreciate the work that goes into making a book such as this; the hours and hours to help gain more skills.
I have these books and I would of preferred the practice images to be on white paper as color books are not on toned or blue paper and the effects will be different on toned and blue paper than they will be on white and not everyone wants a pdf to print out and color.
A lot of people just like to color only in books .
But the book will be fun to learn from as was her first book. Jennifer has done a wonderful job on these books and I hope she does more of them but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I haven’t enjoyed a flip thru in so long as I have this review!.. Next step purchasing this book! As alway Claire, wonderful😎
