THE SIMPLEST WAY TO GET RID OF A TIMESHARE (GET OUT TIMESHARE CONTRACT)

  • This video discusses three ways to get out of a timeshare including what is probably the simplest way to do it. The first method is simply to contact your timeshare company but contrary to popular belief that is typically a dead end. It’s true that Wyndham in other companies do have programs that allow you to give back your timeshare but there are strict qualifying parameters That many owners do not meet. On top of that many of these companies will charge fees to give back the timeshare with no guarantees that you actually are going to get out.
The other method to get rid of a timeshare is to try to sell it. However less than 1% of timeshares actually resell. This is due to the fact that nobody wants to take over a maintenance fee on average of $1000 per year to be forced to take a vacation and I sat spot. When you couple that with the fact that there are thousands upon thousands of timeshare owners trying to sell their timeshare on site such as eBay it makes it simple to see why it’s almost impossible to sell them.
The other method to get rid of a timeshare is what is known as a transfer. All that is happening here is that ownership is being transferred away from your timeshare typically to a transfer company who will then go about trying to get rid of it. If you use a reputable company there is typically an upfront fee but in many cases it winds up being far far less than trying to sell the timeshare because you don’t keep having to pay maintenance fees let alone a listing fee to try to sell it. Watch this video for the fall exclamation.

What's in it for the transfer company? Now THEY'RE stuck with the fees until THEY sell it? And how much is this this "small fee" I pay the transfer company? Sounds too good to be true. And things that sound too good to be true usually are.

Nice video! Only thing is every time you typed it slowed down your presentation and it would be effective to display more of the notes than the keyboard. Great info 👍 timeshares are such a nightmare!!

We bought two weeks timeshares in Orlando. We starting paying $300 dollars per week in 1989 of maintenance fee..now we suppose to pay $900 dollars. I pay a company $500 dollars cause they offered to reseller them, Nothing happen. They stole our money too. I called High Point Resort to see if they can take at least a week, after filling out their paperwork work they accepted. I paid the money from the other week maintenance fee....little by little cause our situation wasn't so good like before. When we wanted to take the vacation week, they told us that we can't take it until we pay the second maintenance fee. That was seven years ago. Now I am ignoring those bills every year. And goes higher because they add penalties and late fees up to $1,200 for each week.

I wish it was like Real Estate where you can sell it in 10 years and make a huge profit. Maintenance fees or not, it sucks that all the money used to pay for the property is really worth nothing. I wish it was just maintenance fees.

I haven't even paid my down payment and decided to get out. We have gave them $400 and that's it. They wanted to setup payments but I called and said they couldn't help. It's the craziest thing I've heard. Haven't even been 4 weeks

QUIT PAYING!!! THE END...They will call a collection agency to threaten you...Direct calls to a lawyer. Has worked for a number of people I know. This guy seem to have an interest in a transfer company.

@@raquellalisa7296 yes, it likely will effect your credit score. You'll have to decide if having a good CS is more important than getting rid of your maintenance fees.

This would affect your credit badly if you have a mortgage (i.e., took out a loan to buy the timeshare). But, if you’ve paid it off and are just paying maint and club dues, you might get collection calls but it shouldn’t affect your credit.
You’ll also obviously be locked out of your timeshare (which you wouldn’t care about, anyway).
