    If you have a Class C or Class B+ RV built on the Ford E-450 Chassis then you know the stock speakers are terrible! Fortunately you can upgrade the speakers and get much better sound for well under $100. Here's how you do it.
    Tools required:
    Phillips Head Screwdriver
    Flat Head Screwdriver
    Torx (star) Driver
    Wire Stripper
    Crimp Tool

    Just wanted to thank you for the easy to follow video. I just changed out the Ford factory speakers in my 2021 Ford E-450 Coach House 272xl. Ordered a set of the Pioneer TS-D68F from Crutchfield and they included the adaptive ford wiring plugs for free. No soldering or crimping required. Easy peasy.

    Thanks for the great video. I am doing this to my 2019 Forest Ri er Forester. The only difference is I will not splice wires. I will use Metra 72-5600 Ford Speaker Harness 1998-UP that may be an easy plug and play direction. If the speaker harness doesn't work I will go ahead and splice. Great video brother. Very clear and calm DIY walk through.

    Ok, just did the change out from the Ford factory speakers to the Infinity Speakers. Let me say this..... WOW oh WOW ! what a difference in sound quality! My Class C is a 2015 Jayco 29MV. And yes, the change is exactly the same as the 2012. (wire color and all) E450 Super Duty. Over all not difficult at all.
    Speaker price has gone up though, My Infinity's were $99 thru Amazon. Love the fact that you can adjust the tweeter to your sound liking. Thanks again for the "how to change out your speakers" video.

      It is such a difference. The factory speakers are horrible! Glad you found this useful.

    Cool vid.. will have to try that on our 06 E450 class C. I recently installed a coach radio. Couldn't get to the speaker wires in ceiling so ran new wires to the front radio. Front controlled cab and coach speakers, had to cut front speakers and tap into rear's Would love to add 2 more speakers to rear of coach but don't see how that can be possible. Anyways, great vid, will look up those speakers you put in.

    Thanks for the video about the speakers. I noticed the curtain in your cab area - is that on a track where you can slide the curtains out of the way quickly? - If you have any info on that, I would appreciate it. Thanks,

    Great video for the RV community. Is that a stock powered mirror you have there? if not, can you provide model number? my ford e-350 chasis does not come with a powered mirrow, been looking for a compatible powered mirrow to swap it out.

      Thanks George - Knowing Ford and the E-series they haven't changed much about the chassis in many years, so I'd guess it would be the same speakers. It's pretty easy to take the door panels off and check - good luck!

    great video ,you answered my question about door panel removal. i have a question for you, I just replaced my class C with a 2015 E 450, (first Ford owner now ) and with these frigid temps i notice cold air blowing through the speaker grills, almost to the point of being uncomfortable when driving. i also noticed you had the plastic sheet still attached to your door, a lot of shops will remove it (and not replace ) if they happen to work on the door . do you experience a bad cold draft coming from the door speakers? its -5 outside atm so I am not going to remove my door panels till spring. thanks

      It's not as cold here - we're near Houston, TX, so it may not be cold enough to notice. We drove on Wednesday and it was around 45 degrees. In general I don't get a draft from the doors, but as you said, I left the plastic sheet in place and I'm sure that helps. Also, the engine is sitting right next to you on the other side, and it throws a lot of heat into the cab when driving - especially after a few hours. If you are getting a draft then I'd say it's likely that either Ford no longer places plastic on the inside of the door, or yours was removed.

      Trek With Us its a ford part, and required, i bet Nexus removed them when they installed the heated remote's , one more f-up nexus did in building my rig. and i have a longgggg list. thanks for your input

    Well, are the $25 speaker better than the OE? Infinitys are good but not sure abt the $50 set.

    • @Trekwithus
      @Trekwithus  Před 4 lety

      Honestly I think any cheap set of speakers is better than OE. The factory speakers in our rig probably cost 50 cents to make - all paper cones/woofers, etc..

    No sound demo? :)

    • @Trekwithus
      @Trekwithus  Před 10 lety +2

      I considered it, but I don't think the sound would translate well to youtube. That said, the difference is night and day! It was $50 very well spent.
