      I got tired of working for companies and making them money and being miserable, so I stated my own tax firm back in 2020 a month before the shut down, prior to that I was working at someone else's of, because I wanted to offer my clients more I decided to do the accounting degree, I've always thought about getting my degree but attending college for 2 to 4 years just didnt sit well with me, and I have to smart young boys whom are in gifted classes, so I figured they got it from me since their mom barely passed college, and I wanted to be an example for them. made the dean's list in my 2nd session and I believe I made it in my 3rd session, I'm not sure if one of my classes I failed restricted me from making the dean's list because I haven't receive the letter yet, I still had a 3.64.

      At 19 I was fired from a digital marketing agency. I passed their numerous interviews and exams and was able to secure a 50k position. When they realized I didn't have a degree (and that I was 19) they dropped my pay to 40k. Then a month later they fired me. I had 2 years of experience, was certified, had client experience, etc. I felt it coming. But I felt horrible coming back home having to tell my father that I couldn't help him financially as I said I would. I am qualified for the role. The paper ceiling is real, unfortunately.

    I’m starting at UMPI Monday in the BLS program as a safety net and personal achievement. I only need 9 upper level credits and the residency requirement to graduate. I’m very happy I found your channel.
    My wife and her sister are currently running through Sophia to upgrade their associates into bachelors degrees for their fields. 🎉

    Started my journey 1 year ago in April , 29 credits. Found this channel, I am now a graduate at SNHU with my bachelors due to the guidance of this channel. For full transparency, only 7k in student loans were taken out that I would pay. Thank you, I realized my dream a little later than others but I did do it

      When you consider the average student debt is more like 35k, that's nothing short of incredible. And that investment will in all likelihood pay for itself. Great work!

    Going back bc of this channel, Sophia, and SDCM. I wish I knew about it waayyy earlier in life. My local CC seemed reasonably price, but when you're paying cash out pocket it hurts plus the time commitment is ridiculous.

    I am reentering the workplace after an extended break (i.e. life, kids, traveling spouse). I have been out so long, I feel irrelevant and unemployable. BS already done so looking at a graduate degree.

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  Před 4 dny

      Do a LOT of research first to pinpoint what grad degree will help you get where you want to go. Not every degree will be competitive in every industry, so stalk some people on LinkedIn who have the job you want and check out what education/experiences/certifications they have. Maybe even reach out to a few to do informational interviews. A grad degree won’t hurt, but it won’t always help as much as it costs, so it’s important to crunch those numbers.
