Floor has the whole Wembley Arena under her spell, just like she does everywhere where she appears on stage.
Who doesn't get emotional when Floor is singing must be dead without knowing it.
I too find it strange that there are people out there that can sit and listen to Floor sing, and the whole Nightwish band without one simple reaction. They just sit there and say like so, okay well? Well? Well hell, are you dead and don't know it? People like that who don't have emotions and human reactions, scare the holy living hell out of me. How do you get through a world like ours without having reactions? Now I know what Pink Floyd was talking about when they sang about being comfortably Numb. I call those folks zombies.

I love that you pause and say we dont hear much of her metal growling riiiiiight before she just GETS INTO IT. She is my favorite vocalist of all time!

Nightwish between songs gives off very big tea and knit blanket vibes. Like they'll tell a dad joke and offer you a hard candy from a porcelain dish on the coffee table before rocking out.

heh, I get what Mitchell's saying, though. Marko's comments in particular (not in this song obviously, since Floor is the one who speaks at the start) have a dad joke feel to them.
"There's a grit to her voice" - That's what he said. Right before the first chorus. And he had no idea what was about to hit him right in the face 😅
With this show Nightwish became the first ever Finnish band to sell out Wembley Arena.
One thing I noticed about Floor's growl in this song is it's exactly in tune with Marko's voice just in a much lower register. Most growlers are not in tune with the song.
Well, that's because she's that good at it.
Every song surprises. Nightwish are so talented and their music is so diverse and yet easily recognizable.
The crowd in that arena needed a safeword during this. Floor sang like she could take the entire front row out (she probably could...)
Gotta love Floor's growls. :)

Well, I’ll be honest, this isn’t my preferred genre. However, I have to give props for being able to appreciate the skill and talent of this group. You focused on the technical aspects of their voices, the singing techniques they were using and the over performance levels. That shows just how well you’ve trained for this type of music analysis. Hey, I always hearing your input on Floor. Her abilities just continue to amaze me at over a year and a half of discovering her, and your breaking down what she is doing verbally is outstanding. I believe like you said, she can do anything vocally she decides to do. In a recent chat with Floor I told her that I believed she can sing anything anyway she wants and that I have heard vocal coaches trying to pinpoint what type of soprano she is, and what type she considers herself. Her reply, sweet as always was that she never liked to box the voice into a specific type.

The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual honor given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture. Led Zeppelin asked for Heart to cover Stairway to Heaven and its an amazing performance.

You are so good in analyzing voices. You are the first reactor who heard it was Floor growling very low and Marko singing above that tone. Floor can do ANYTHING with her voice in a responsible way. She has a 1000 voices within her. So diverse. I never heard someone sing like her. Marko has a beautiful voice actually. He did some nice harmonies with Floor in other songs. Thank you for responding again on nightwish.

Yes Floor can do a lot of things but imitate Marco's voice? No. So of course Marco sings the clean vocals and Floor the growling. 😁
This song was written for her voice, so she is more versatile here than songs written for Tarja or Anette
