Differences, Similarities, & Ethics of the Invert & Reptile Hobbies w/ Animals At Home

This week I discuss the differences and similarities of the tarantula and reptile hobbies with podcaster and youtuber Dillon from Animals At Home. We also talk about the ethics of keeping and breeding inverts, snakes and reptiles in captivity as well as conservations efforts and how we can contribute as a hobby. From Ball Pythons and Boas to Geckos and Tarantulas, we talk about our expereince and growth as keepers. As well as our expereinces creating exotic pet content and becoming full time content creators during these voliatle times.
This is a repost of the podcast originally recorded a few years ago. CZcams recently launched a podcast section on channel pages. Initially, it was not a good idea to post podcast videos on your main channel as it would hurt the analytics. So I created a 2nd channel called The Exotic Pet Collective where the video version of the podcasts were uploaded. I had also been made aware that many of you did not the podcast existed, so I have been systematically taking the podcast down from the 2nd channel and moving them over to this channel. That way, they can all be under the podcast tab on my channel page, and viewers that had never seen or heard them before would be notified of their existence. I apologize for any confusion.

I try to take notes from my care of both reptile and invert, has led to some really cool behaviors I dont normally see now that I have them all in naturalistic enclosures with more opportunities for enrichment. With your recent podcast highlighting how tarantula's can recognize your enviornmental tell's I want to try something similar to target training like Lori Torenii covers. Obviously a different trigger than the visual target, but I still wanna test if the concept can work.
