Never ask what Bayern Munich did from 1939 to 1945
The Bayern Munich part is incredibly offensive, to put it there without any context. The logo change was forced by the regime because Bayerns Player saluted their Jewish ex chairman during a friendly in Switzerland. The same chairman who went to a concentration camp and forced out by the nazis. Bayern was also called a "jew" club for decades after.
@@pvm0212 same reason why most British colonized countries got Union Jack on their flag
This was a joke people used to make 30 years ago.. Please grow up
Also the truth is that Bayerns president Kurt Landauer was Jewish. He was president before 1933 and after 1945.
What did Bayern Munich do from 1939 to 1945
done bayern munich dirty at the start 😂

As a Galatasaray fan I love the fact that our logo is so incredibly minimalistic that you literally can't simplify it further anyways. It was perfect then, it's perfect now. Sometimes you'll see eager young designers have a go at re-imagining it, usually by adding superfluous details and wacky contortions of the letters G&S, but they never come even close to looking as elegant.
What I like even more about it is that it has an arabic (ottoman) script version that's just as neat
At first I thought Galatasaray was Turkish Swansea
@@samelmudir How do you mean?

Juventus' logo change is still a terrible downgrade. Who agrees?
I don't care about that.
but what Real Madrid did with their logo is an embarrassment.
removing the Christian cross in order to not "offend" Muslims is the most pussy but also expected woke leftist move possible.

The old one was simple Already
I hate Inter Milan’s new badge also.
@@Bendaak for me the new Inter badge is a neater version of their old one but the Juventus one is too different and doesn't have any authenticity along the old school

Due to the fact that they minimize compromising with their identity like other clubs.

Many changes in recent years have been done because it transpired that the crests used by years were never trademarked - Arsenal's simplified badge from 20 years or Portsmouth's very slight change which was recently adopted was because the old designs could be used by anyone.

Bayern's old logo is kinda spicy
Yeah, they need to return to tradition
Logo changes from Inter and Man City were horrible. Especially Inters logo was way better before. I don't care about some marketing guy deciding this, the logo is a essential part of the history
I agree with you when it comes to Inter but Man City old coat of arms was horrible. way too big and old fashioned. it had to be changed.
but I agree, in general everything is way too simplistic.
I agree the Inter one is horrible, but Man City's is very traditional yet modern. I wouldn't say that it is necessarily better than the previous one, but it's still excellent
Inter looks like a car badge . Man City had a great one with the golden eagle. Animals are being axed from every badge it seems
@@samelmudir I have no idea what that eagle has to do with Manchester. The current city logo is similar to the one it had for decades before the eagle.
Man C fan and I like the new badge. It isn’t hyper modern and is the perfect compromise between new and old.
5:39 , I started watching football with Leeds already in the Championships, but I always liked the club for the simple fact that they have a beautiful shield
I can totally see an American absolutely oblivious of Football , getting that Inter Miami tattoo on his back because of hype...

The Bayern Logo NO WAY💀
A longer video on logos would be awesome!
Several of the logo changes of known football clubs in recent years were terrible, they take away so much from the history and appeal of the logo and what it stands for in a misguided attempt to look "modern". Examples such as Juventus and Inter come to mind. I do agree that some logos are too complex, but several of the clubs with those too complex logos do not change them :D.
btw, the Fulham logo has to be one of the blandest and most unimaginative logos of all time, it is utterly terrible :D
The Fulham logo is just something that you'd make in a football game and that's just because they only have limited templates
Imagine that some "artist" got paid lots of money for that garbage. Most modern art is literally garbage and the problem is us that accept these insults to real art in all its forms.
I always thought Juve's old logo was appalling. Even when I was a kid, I used to called it the "egg" logo.
@@aimanrashidi2426Inter is absolutely a good redesign, and will come to be remembered as such. The others, not so much
Happened in Rugby Union too with Rotherham Titans. They replaced the historic Bishop hat with a spartan warrior (I assume because Titans are from Greek mythology) for a season. Now the have the Bishop hat back but way more simplified
League also. See Wigan Warriors.
Athletic Interest: for simplicity and sophistication

The Juventus change was a literal crime
That old Bayern Logo 😲
I'd like to think they changed it for non-design reasons too!
PS That Ajax logo gets me every time - just beautiful.
Only Bayern had the most simple design in between 1938-45. 0:15
It's better than the current one really i don't see a problem with it
The Bayern retro kit with the retro logo gonna hit different
In the context of the Bavarian empire being dissolved less than 20 years before the 3rd reich and one of the goals of the 3rd reich being to bring Germany and German areas back as one in the way of the old German empire it makes sense to change the logo then, Bayern Munich is the only club in Germany that represents a whole area rather than a city, an area might I add who’s had separation movements, Bavarians are more than happy to tell you they’re Bavarian before they are German

Would be nice to see the explainer video why Bayern were forced to adapt the swastika logo during the war.
They weren't forced, they could've disbanded
@@Pvrge.they were forced to. Kurt Landauer, president at the time, was jewish and had to flee to switzerland after being arrested and brought to KZ Dachau. In 1947 he returned to Germany and was er-elected by Bayern München. The club has had a large jewish heritage.

As a Sport Lisboa e Benfica fan our "logo", which we proudly refuse to call that because it is an EMBLEM, was only upgraded three times in our history. First when Grupo Sport Benfica and Sport Lisboa merged; then in 1930 when the "final" idea took for, and in 1999, the current emblem took form, the eagle got bigger, the bike wheel was more stylized, the colours were ajusted and that's it. In the club's statutes it clearly states how the emblem, colors and format should be. Any change must be approved by a majority of the club's General Assembly, in which the associate participate (there are more than 300 000 paying members). Benfica is a club that the members are the owners and not a random millionaire.
I’m really disappointed that you didn’t acknowledge that Bayern’s hand was forced with that Nazi logo

Club's crest is not a company logo! You do not simplify it because of oily marketing people's visions! It i a disrespect for the history,m tradition, identity and (local) fans who ultimately ARE the club. Clubs can use though simplified versions that coexist and are used for the purposes they fit better like small icons, black and white graphics etc. Because font and background style, details are not relevant like you showed in Arsenal logo. It is still Arsenal cannon that matters. But anyway, the only one and best , most recognised logo in NBA - Bulls - never changed . That's the way to act! You might add letters above or no, you, can make it on the white or red or balkck background, it does not matter, you can make it white and black - still the same old, good Bull, just adapted
Bayern munchen's old logo really was a swastika 💀. Imagine they didn't change it.
I like the old logos more...
Especially the Bayern one
Man City just brought there old logo, that they had in the 90’s, back. Hardly a big reinvention.
Arsenals logo is the cleanest. Especially from what it used to be
0:14 The Bayern one 😳
the bayern part is lowkey offensive imo, without any context aswell.
It's not even just tradition... even though the reason behind a 'cleaner' logo make total sense... a lot of them just look kinda boring...
I think you guys should apply the same concept of simplicity for your videos: too many images, letters, colours. Music, sounds, etc in the video. I like it more before. More focussed in the message and less in getting the attention of the audience (newer generations, who need all this)
Noted!
Minimalism is the bane of modern design. Nowadays everything is minimalistic and lack details from houses to cars. But as with all trends there will be a renaissance of the elabore style.
When editing, please tone down the “handheld camera shake”. It made my eyes hurt omg.
As always though, Great video
Bayern in this video is a case by itself
I prefer the more clean minimalistic badges
Bayern Munich catching strays😂
The Bayern Munich part is a bit offensive considering the fact that they had many jewish members in the board and were frequently called judenklub by Nazis. But ultimately they were forced to change the logo and boot out many of their jewish members
They weren't forced, if they were so opposed to it they could've disbanded in protest.
@@Pvrge. kinda the same as being forced, but thanks for adding information
@@adilmohammed6897 Nobody is ever forced to do anything, hundreds of thousands of people during WW2 had guns put to their heads, and preferred to die rather than collaborate with the Germans. Nobody is ever forced, they are simply unwilling to fight for their beliefs.
