My fiesta st buddy diego thought it would be cool to make a video of his boomba bov adapter install and i was down!. check it out bros! ( / chukimusic ) Instrumental produced by Chuki.
Thanks for the video, guys! A little info for anyone skeptical on these pieces; We can definitely understand where you’re coming from with concern to the vehicle not functioning properly, however on Ford’s US market Ecoboost vehicles, this is nothing to worry about. No check engine light or loss of performance is caused by using this blow off valve. Running our BOV will not effect the fuel trim or throw a code for a couple of different reasons. The biggest reason is due to the way Ford tunes their USDM turbocharged cars. The USDM Ecoboost engines are MAP tuned, whereas in the rest of the world they use MAF tuning. This changes the way the ECU meters air going into the motor. In a MAF tuned car, the fuel trims would be affected by venting to atmosphere, however on a MAP tuned car like yours, the ECU is not affected by venting to atmosphere. In short, you've got nothing to worry about! All of the USDM spec Focus ST and Fiesta ST use MAP tuning for the ECU where the vehicle doesn't care if you vent to atmosphere or not; however on non-USDM spec Focus ST, the vehicle uses MAF tuning which is much more sensitive to a vehicle venting to atmosphere. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions.
its a diverted valve spacer it give you the sound but makes your turbo do twice the work ur ecu is setup for the air to recycle back into the turbo no vent to atmosphere give u more turbo lag and the stock diverter valve will end up ripping or leaking better off buying a upgraded blow off valve or diverter valve
Is it me or does it sound too loud for the car? I mean you hear it more than the engine, or might it be the microphone just picking up higher pitch easier?
Mechanical has a set spring rate thats why you change springs for diffrent boost pressures, i imagine electrical can change pressures by computer rather than diffrent spring rates
Yes, we have them. Most people decide not to get that option. They are a $2,000 option here. I definitely got them, I love the recaros. But most people, my girlfriend included think they are way too tight and stiff. We are a little bigger over here on average...
+Julie Brock your welcome ha. And no when you go in for servicing they check your obd and might reset to factory to remove the accessport. If that happens you wouldn't be able to uninstall your accessport anymore it would still be married to your car. Would be all bad... just uninstall before going in
Nope. That's how the car sounds. I had a Fiesta ST for a year and it sounded more or less like this one. The main differences between his and mine were the mods he did, but other than that it;s the same.
Thats not a blow off valve??? The one that is already installed is a recirkulation valve and not a atmospheric blow off valve, with the adapter you basically convert your recirkulations valve to atmospheric which means you blow aaaaall air that is being blown back to your turbo as boost, is getting blown out and your loosing boost... Well it sound cool but id rather keep the recirkulated air that keeps my turbo healthy then hearing a WHOOOS sound 🤷
It doesn’t damage the damn turbo and to add on that, I’ve ran a block off on my big turbo wrx’s for the sound for years and Stu Stu stu’s don’t damage anything internally either, no shaft play no issues on even the cheapest turbos from my experience, on boost flutter is bad, on boost blow off is bad, this is not bad, you’re misinformed and over critical. Yes it’s not inherently better because it’s throwing all that air out of the system that could be recirculated but no it won’t damage it.
+AzNightmare lol! You know what. Listening to it. The keys sound super off like nasty haha. Well choose more wisely next time. Thanks for watchin tho:p

BoombaRacingInc thank you for this
does this cause boost leak?
Boomba racing would ford be able to void the warranty for using this?
All the unnecessary mods that a Fiesta ST needs can be seen in this video.
The teeth hurt my eyes
its a diverted valve spacer it give you the sound but makes your turbo do twice the work ur ecu is setup for the air to recycle back into the turbo no vent to atmosphere give u more turbo lag and the stock diverter valve will end up ripping or leaking better off buying a upgraded blow off valve or diverter valve
I like the flutter sounding bov’s
Most people do. It’s different
Koriginal not bad tho, I still think it’s bad ass
at least half the engine got oil during those fancy revs due having the car jacked up. Sounds like the airbrakes from a truck btw. well done
Lol pepboys sponsored fiesta. GOod lord. Make it stahp
Nice video again bro! Keep em comin
+Jorge Ramos I will bro!
Sounds like a steam train pulling up to the station
why do i agree with this ? hahaha
seper nice, i wish i had an ST, i have a focus SVT supercharged
Do you need to splice any of the wires going to the stock bov? Watched another video where the spliced them together
Have you driven a Fiesta ST before? If so what do you think? I really want to drive one!
+TechNation actually I hang out with this guy all the time yet I've never drove it haha. I will and let you know bro!
Koriginal ST Awesome man.
fun as shit and you could probably find one for 15k, for sure worth. needs an exhaust for full effect tho
super fun car. i bought a 2016. i have to drive it everyday. its too much fun not to
Is this the 50/50 bov?
Is it me or does it sound too loud for the car? I mean you hear it more than the engine, or might it be the microphone just picking up higher pitch easier?
Sensei X sounds perfect on my car
Way too loud, even when not driving hard. Thats why i blocked the atmo port on my bov was stupidly loud even hitting minimal boost.
My check engine line just came on had the bov installed yesterday got a underboost code could it be the bov is loose ?
Any updates? Got the same thing
Yes. Make sure you tighten it down pretty good. Any gap between the adapter and the BOV could result in a boost leak. Hope this helped.
Hey, i just got the same thing. Did you solve it somehow? I've read that on EU spec Fiestas you can only leave 2 holes unplugged without ECU remap.
Do you HAVE to take it off when you take it to the dealer?
+Danypu831 the tune? Yes you do. The accessport? No it's your choice
Can someone explain why the BOV is electronic? Why wouldn't it be mechanical? What are the benefits?
Mechanical has a set spring rate thats why you change springs for diffrent boost pressures, i imagine electrical can change pressures by computer rather than diffrent spring rates
Does Boomba make a bov for the FiST?
surprized he hasnt got the headlight eyelashes to go with the tacky d i y mods
What's going on with those seats, they look like there from the basic model, do you guys not get the recaro's like is in Europe?
Yes, we have them. Most people decide not to get that option. They are a $2,000 option here. I definitely got them, I love the recaros. But most people, my girlfriend included think they are way too tight and stiff. We are a little bigger over here on average...
Where can I find those headlight eye lids. does someone make precut ones or did he do it himself??
+Zxibit yea dude it's plasti dip
Thanks for uploading! I’m about to install mine when the weather warms up. Why do you have to remove it when you go to your dealer? Is it leased?
+Julie Brock your welcome ha. And no when you go in for servicing they check your obd and might reset to factory to remove the accessport. If that happens you wouldn't be able to uninstall your accessport anymore it would still be married to your car. Would be all bad... just uninstall before going in
You remove modifications so they won't void your warranty.
warranty isnt void unless what malfunctions is directly caused because of modification.
JulieMarie What car you got? I’m putting one on my mk7 GTI tomorrow
Where did you get the fog lamp overlays from?
+Johnny CincoCero custom from a local shop
Did the muffler delete void warranty?
Portland Grown no, warranty is only voided if the modification leads to the problem
+Portland Grown I'm sure it didnt but I'm also not sure. ;p sorry bro
how long did it take you guys to install?
+Casey Nunez about 20 minutes. But that's because we've done it before. First time install isn't as fast ha
Where'd ya but that adapter is there a link???
+Jeremy Rivera try boomba.com
would the bov work on a 2015 Ford escape??
+Preston Coss needs to have a turbo charger to work
Lol
who owns the sexy Mazda in the driveway? :)
+Joseph Espinal my girl lol. She wants to make it look nicer too haha
I own a Mazda myself, love the handling on them! Hopefully they come out with speed versions soon. I hope she enjoys it
whats the point of the spacer?
+diesel5355 it's what's create the blow off valve sound. The pshhh you hear after the revving
So the spacer is necessary for BOV installation?
+diesel5355 on the Fiesta st. Yes. Or just buy Bov. The spacer is the cheaper alternative
diesel5355 well.. no. the spacer basically converts the factory bypass valve into a blow off valve.
sounds like a bike pump
Any exhaust mods?
Does the sound happen every time you let off the gas ?
+Christopher Perez when it releases boost
Christopher Perez if hes on boost when he releases it it will. the more boost pressure he has the louder it will be
I have a Ford Fiesta SE 2013 could this valve adapter work for my car or not? Thanks.
your car doesnt have a turbo.
@@willmitchell8500 HAHAHAHAH
sounds like something is wrong with the car :D
Nope. That's how the car sounds. I had a Fiesta ST for a year and it sounded more or less like this one. The main differences between his and mine were the mods he did, but other than that it;s the same.
Where can I get those bottom fogs
so thats just tint. look into VIVID tints on amazon, thats what I used on my fog lights.
Do you still have it on? Has it caused any damage to the engine?
He still has it on till this day👍
do things like this cause damage ??
Dude I have the same mud flaps and color @fiestaturbo_3cyl instagram

U really don't know what a blowoff valve is do u? It shoots off the extra boost, and is probably better for your turbo honestly
Scaring new enthusiasts with partly wrong information
You should probably stay away from car forums considering you have absolutely no idea about what the fuck you are talking about whatsoever lmao
That sounds SO shit. Haha!
*This has to be one of the worst bgm ever... uncoordinated tune, sounds completely off key. Ruined the whole video.*
+AzNightmare lol! You know what. Listening to it. The keys sound super off like nasty haha. Well choose more wisely next time. Thanks for watchin tho:p
Koriginal ST The bgm was good
+Del Juego Gaming lol thanks man
